This was a treat for my boyfriend who's very into geology. Our previous Pompeii tour got cancelled because of the weather, so this was last minute, and what a treat! Our guide was lovely (I feel terrible that I can't remember her name), the geologist and guides for Vesuvius and Pompeii were great, this was an amazing day trip out of Rome.

Flavio our tour guide was very efficient at leading us through our day, along with Rommel our bus driver who very capably drove us up and down the Mt.Vesuvius winding roads. Lunch was delicious and plenty of restroom stops provided.

Tour guides were excellent. Angela on the bus was great This was a very good tour. Be prepared to spend a whole day.

The excursion was great, however it went beyond the 12 hours. I think we could have eliminated a couple of the driving stops.

Tour was as expected and delivered well enough. We used same tour company yesterday and it is very much dependent on quality of the guide , this guide was satisfactory but a far cry from the exceptional guide we had yesterday.

We had a very positive experience with Alberto. Both the walk on Mount Vesuvius and the guided tour of Pompeii were engaging in different ways. I would recommend bringing your own water/snacks for the time in between activities.

Definitely recommend... very well organised... dont be out off woth the 12 hour length! Our guide Alberto was great and kept us entertained.... pompeii and vesuvius were epic and lunch provided was more than enough! Regular breaks for water and restrooms! Amazing day !

Alberto was a really good guide and he all gave us a wonderful surprise (which I won't spoil). And Theo our driver was truly a magician behind the wheel. We were exhausted at the end of the day, but it was worth it.

wear sensible shoes and be ready for bad weather. it poured with rain on our trip which put a damper on the trip. The guide we has in Pompeii seemed to waant to do the whole thing at a whirlwind pace which made it difficult for those with mobility issues and those without.

Veronica did a marvelous job coordinating a large tour group! Lots of history, shared with passion and humor. Had a great time at Pompeii and Vesuvius — will definitely have to come back! A+!

• Check-in is 20 minutes prior to the booked tour start time. • Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals cannot be refunded. • Our City Wonders guides will have a City Wonders tour sign for easy recognition. • The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius is optional and requires a good level of general fitness to complete. The hike is uphill at a 14-degree angle and 20 minutes long (about 1 mile). The hike is prevalently on soft ground, and adequate footwear is recommended. For those who prefer a more leisurely experience, you can instead choose to enjoy a scenic and informative walking tour led by an expert geologist at Vesuvius • Temperatures on the Volcano may be a bit lower than temperatures on the ground, a sweater or light jacket is recommended, especially outside of the summer months • This tour involves a fair amount of walking: comfortable shoes are recommended , a bottle of water and a hat are recommended especially in summer months • Only small bags are allowed • Gratuities for your guide/driver that provided excellent service are appreciated! • Infants do not have a reserved seat on the bus • City Wonders is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost or damaged.
