Vatican VIP: Skip-the-Line Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Tour
A holiday in Rome without visiting the Vatican is like a day at the beach without swimming in the sea. See the best of the Vatican museums and gain direct entrance with skip-the-line access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, while our excellent guides entertain you with stories that go with each masterpiece. This budget-friendly tour is the best value for money for travelers that are interested in 1) seeing the museum’s highlights 2) meeting a new friend or two through your group and 3) skipping the lines (trust us, with over 6 million tourist spilling into the museum every year, you'll want it!) Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)

Giovanni was excellent! Vatican city is overwhelming but he guided us through with knowledge, humor and great tidbits to make our experience easy and memorable. I highly recommend this tour and Giovanni as a guide!

Giovanni was a great guide and humorous. Booking with skip the line was worth it as we passed tourists that had been in line for 4 hours prior to our arrival. Great tour!

Carl was incredible. It felt like time flew by so fast because of all the information about the Vatican. He was so knowledgeable! Funny too. This is 100% worth every penny. Highly recommended! - Sly

Giovanni was an amazing tour guide and his English was very easy to understand. He was very informative and added in some humor here and there. We were able to skip the line to get into Vatican City, and people had been waiting in line for over 4 hours just to get in! We were lucky to be able to enter via the Holy Door which is only open once every 25 years, Giovanni made sure we knew how lucky we were with our timing. The photos don't do it justice, well worth the time, energy and money

Our tour guide Maria was amazing! The entire experience was great from start to finish: the meeting place in the ticket was accurate, the event started on time, and the experience was exactly as expected. Maria kept us moving at a great pace without sacrificing valuable information, often with a fun sense of humor. It was a busy day at the Vatican so crowds were large - we were very thankful for the skip-the-line ticket. Overall a great tour that we’d highly recommend! Thank you Maria!

Our tour of the Vatican included St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel. Participants got the chance to see it all, including plenty of time to admire the works of Michelangelo. Francesca our tour guide was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about all of the spots we toured, patient with all abilities in our group and made the experience more rich than it would have been non guided. Worth the money to ensure you have ample time to see a very large swath of spots.

There was a three hour wait if you did not have the skip the line tickets like we did. We waited maybe 25 minutes and were in the Vatican museum ready to view the sites. This was far beyond our expectations, the museum, and Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s were awe inspiring. At first we were not sure we were going to be able to go to the Sistine chapel Since King Charles was meeting with the pope today and we were told that the Sistine chapel was closed. In the end, it opened up and we were able to enjoy the experience. seeing these amazing works of art in person was a beautiful experience. Especially since our guide, Marco, was so knowledgeable and added real depth of information to the tour. Marco really kept us informed and enlightened during the entire tour. He grew up in Rome and had a great depth of knowledge and insight to share and made the history so very interesting and engaging.
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
- Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
- Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.
- ST.PETER'S BASILICA TOUR – Includes St. Peter’s Basilica but does NOT include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
