Guilin's Li River: Private Luxury Cruise & Scenic Escape

What a beautiful area of China this is! We had a picturesque river cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with the escort of our guide Kevin and later on explored the surrounding area of Yangshuo with him. We enjoyed his ideas of the itinerary and his deep knowledge of the area. A very artistic person, he explained to us about the culture, the history and art of the area and he very patiently showed us every detail during the cruise that we should not miss. A great photographer as well, he took amazing pictures of us capturing fantastic details. We were thrilled to have him us our guide and we deeply enjoyed his relaxed vibe that made us “stop to smell the flowers” on our long journey around China. Of course I can’t forget to mention the excellent choice of places to eat he suggested. We cannot thank him enough!

Lily and Mr. Wu were wonderful! They provided us with such a fantastic experience in Guilin. Lily’s relaxed demeanour, her knowledge of the area, and her pleasant and friendly personality allowed us a most enjoyable visit. The cruise of the Li River was the highlight of this stop on our China tour, and Lily knew what was awaiting us at every turn. Thank you Lily for a great two days, and for your beautiful songs.

Our guide Lily Cao was very knowledgeable and gave us very good information during our visits to the Reed Flute caves, Longi rice terraces, Guilin and the river trip to Yangshuo. Her English was of a high standard. Good recommendations given for places to eat. Our driver Mr Lui was excellent, careful and helpful. Only downside was that the promised direct train to Hong Kong was unavailable.

Guilin was stunning. The scenery was beautiful and the Reed Flute Cave was breathtaking. We particularly enjoyed the very relaxing cruise down Li river. Our guide, Ada, was very organised and had such a lovely sense of humour! She was extremely attentive, changing routes when she observed my parents were getting tired. She also went out of her way to help us buy various snacks and groceries and helped us with dinner. Best of all, she took such natural photographs of us and put together a wonderful family video from various clips she had filmed. Overall, highly recommend!

Catherine, our guide in Guilin was excellent. She had fabulous knowledge and really looked after us. She made sure our experience was fantastic and took us to a great place to eat.

Gulin was beautiful, the hotel that we were staying has a best location overall as it was next the the beautiful night lights and busy shopping and restuarant streets. overall I would like to comment and give the tour guide, Sally who has been so infomative about Guilin histroy and culture. To top my appreciation, I would like to thank Sally for staying with me when I had to go to the hospital, to have my leg checked since my fall happened at the previous city. Sally help me to do all the translation with the doctors, registered me, help me to figure out the treatment, patiently waited till all the CT scan was done . She has really gone above and beyond to spend the after work time to help me and to see me safely back in the hotel. Thank you Sally.
