Glide Through Historic Mazatlan: Unforgettable Segway Journey!

Great tour of old town Mazatlán. Tour guide educated us of its history. Plus sites along the boardwalk. Well worth it!!!

The best way to see Mazatlán! We had an A+ experience on this Segway tour. Our guide, Carlos, turned what we thought would be a large group excursion into a personalized adventure. He was a patient teacher, ensuring we felt safe and confident before heading out. We covered a significant amount of ground in Old Mazatlá; something that we never could have reached via foot. Carlos shared his wonderful history of both the people and architecture of the area and made the trip truly special. It was an authentic look into the area and definitely not the tourist trap stuff you will encounter at other ports if call. It was also a delight sharing our mutual love of heavy metal and rock music. It made felt like a kindred spirit! In any event I'd highly recommended this excursion especially for cruise passengers who want to maximize their limited time in port and enjoy something authentic about the local area.

Carlos or Charlie as his friends call him 😉 is very knowledgeable about his hometown and shares tons of information. He was patient with me as I’ve never ridden a Segway before but I felt like a pro in no time, zipping around the streets of old town and zipping down the Malecon. This was a small group tour and a fun filled 2 hours. We couldn’t stop smiling. Charlie took photos for us and even negotiated our cab fare back to the ship. Thank you Charlie for a memorable day. We promise to look you up when we’re back in Mazetlan!

We had an amazing time. I had previously done a Segway tour with family but this was so exponentially better in every way. Our guide was passionate and very knowledgeable about his beloved city. 11 out of 10. Will absolutely do this exact tour our next time in Mazatlan. It was funny passing the masses of walking tours we saw struggling up the hills while cruising around on the Segways which alone are worth far more than the price of admission. And seeing the cliff divers was incredible. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. You won’t be disappointed.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and energetic. He knew his city well and we enjoyed haunt him with us.

Carlos was a great tour guide!!! We had a 30 minute taxi ride from Riu Emerald Bay to get to the activity- well worth the taxi ride costs. Carlos oriented all guests to the segway and we don’t go until we were comfortable. PPE provided. He encouraged us to enjoy the adventure as none of us had rode a segway before. Carlo was born in the community and had some great history. We saw some markets and he gave tips on where to shop and use the facilities. We went on Christmas Day so some of the places were not open for shopping. The time went by very quickly and we enjoyed it a lot. I would highly recommend.

This was our favourite excursion of our cruise! The Segway was a blast and so easy to learn. A small bit of confusion about our reservation but was immediately rectified. The tour itself takes you to the most beautiful area of old Mazatlan. A ton of history personal information from our guide as he grew up there. Absolutely worth every penny!

Carlos provides a helmet and water for the experience. He's was born and raised there so he had a wealth info about the area. He's super patient and helpful. We would do this tour again. Thanks Carlos!
