Unforgettable Ephesus: VIP Skip-Line Private Ancient City Tour

We spent a great time in our tour with our guide Tas. He’s very knowledgeable and friendly, also the driver Boss has an excellent vehicle and kept us safe. Thank you Tas and Boss!

Our tour guide, Oz, was very knowledgeable and thoughtful. He presented a wonderful overview of use of Ephesus sprinkled with just enough humor. Very good pacing, rest stops etc

We absolutely loved our tour of Ephesus and the temple of Artumus. We felt like we learned a lot and the history was fantastic. Nagi was well educated and gave us plenty of time to explore on our own while still keeping us on track. In between the two sites, we stopped at a rug “school” to see how authentic Turkish rugs are made. The process was amazing, but at the end of the demonstration, we were pressured to buy a rug. Thankfully, we did not buy a rug. After the tour, we did research on the rugs and sales tactics. We found reviews indicating that the rugs claiming to be made by local Turkish women were actually from China and were not handmade and the guide gets a % of the sale (which is why they are incentivized to bring tourists). Looking back, this whole experience soured the tour. Nagi asked if we wanted to go to the pottery or leather stores, we said no as we were no longer trusting the experience. Talking to other tourists, it sounds like there was a similar sales tactic at the pottery place, so I’m glad we didn’t go.

Huray and Boss are very nice and patient, Huray is very qualified, because she knows a lot of information of the places. But I would like the agency promotion more places with history and less stores

Huray did really good trying to explain everything, answering questions and always showing good attitude, no matter that house of Mary was not in the schedule, they were flexible in taking us there and line was not as long. The place for food was really good. Boss such a nice driver and the car impeccable.

Mel was an incredible tour guide, so knowledgeable and friendly and we had a fantastic day with her. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, even taking us to a family friend’s pottery workshop at the end of the tour so we could try Turkish tea and coffee and see a demonstration. What an amazing host, thank you Mel and we hope to come again!

Our tour guide was Mel, she was INCREDIBLE. I cannot stress it enough. We were on a cruise and the tour is mostly designed to accommodate cruise passengers so that alleviated the stress a little bit. Everything from start to beginning was superb. She was very informative, she really cares and loves her town, and it shows! She didn’t go by the itinerary exactly but mixed it up a little bit, depending on how busy certain places are and preventing us from standing in long lines at the House of Virgin Mary when it takes only about 10 seconds to go in. We did Ephesus, lunch was included, and the temple of Artemis. The cafe at the house of Virgin Mary weren’t very nice when we wanted to buy Turkish coffee and tea, I informed her and she felt bad, and took us to a place that’s friends of hers and they gave us complimentary teas and coffee, they own a beautiful ceramic shop! I highly recommend taking a chance and booking a tour 3rd party. It is their job to get you back on board in time. They also track it as well. Saved us hundreds of dollars instead of booking through the cruise.

I have a large group in three 29-seater buses do a tour of Ephesus, Mary's House, Temple of Artemis, nice lunch and rug demonstration. The tours were very good although the microphone on one bus did not always work, and the rug demo was not mentioned in the tour description. The rug demo was interesting and the sales people were not pushy unless you showed an interest to buy one. I have used this tour operator in the past and both times the qualify of the guides was very good, and arranging the tour was better than most tour operators.

Mel was a wonderful tourguide! She was friendly, funny and very informative. She made sure we made the most of our time and our money. We wanted to try Turkish tea and she was able to take us to a special shop to have tea and coffee with beautiful handmade pottery.

Had a great time! Gokmen was such a great and informative guide! 10/10 would recommend we had plenty of time to take pictures and look around while also learning a lot about the history!
