We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this city and much of that had to do with our guide and driver who showed us the real Surabaya from a locals perspective. Many thanks to Fajar and Bima - they make such a great team. This city was surprising, expecting it to be loud and dirty and underwhelming but they made it exciting and interesting and a lot of fun even in 102 degree weather. Nice cool car and clean and comfy. Highly recommend!!!

We just had an amazing tour guide named Pramesti. The lady and the driver were just fantastic. Showed us around the sites we wanted to see and were so accommodating. We had an awesome experience. Thanks so much Pramesti and driver. Traffic is scaring in Surabaya but the driver was just fantastic. Well done and highly recommended. 🫶🏽

We booked this Surabaya city tour directly with the vendor (paying in local currency on arrival) for our private tour of 3 people. The people handling email we very helpful and responsive and even allowed us to add a mosque to the itinerary as a change. Our guide was a nice young college student who responded quickly on Whatsapp and picked us up on time in a very nice car with excellent air conditioning and a separate driver. One of the planned sites was closed on the day of our visit (no one advised us of this until we asked about it during the tour). The guide was friendly and would briefly respond to direct questions (sometimes using Google on her phone) but otherwise had no tour talk or basic information to share. As a result, a lot of time in the car was spent in complete silence - even if we pointed something out as we drove and said "I wonder what that is?"... the guide said nothing. Honestly, I'm not sure she had ever been to some of these places AT ALL, and definitely hasn't led this tour before as when I asked her about places that were in the official itinerary, she would say "Oh that is a good idea." When we went to the museum, she didn't know how to find the entrance. At a temple, we asked how old it was and she said "very old"... and we followed up with "any idea on the year?" and she said "early 1980s" hahaha. Look, the tour is a great bargain price and it was very nice to have a private car and a local who could speak the language to escort us.... but this was less an informative "tour" than a private car with an escort. We voluntarily ended the your a little early and with some nice pictures and interesting sights seen... but little learned about the city history and the people who live here. Anyhow, perhaps we just got a new guide on a busy day with the cruise ship in port.

Our guide, Rina (Nisrina) was wonderful! Excellent communicator. She was on time to pick us up. She is very knowledgeable of her culture, came prepared, and gave us a really impressive cultural not only tour, but insight of Surabaya. She is a wonderful asset for Viator. Thank you!

Ins, our tour guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. She showed us around for all Surabaya highlights and a nice restaurant to taste local cuisine. We enjoyed the tour very much.

This was an enjoyable tour with a friendly guide and driver! They included a nice variety of places for us to see the culture of Surabaya.

Granted there really isn't much to see in town but it was a wonderful experience because of our driver and guide! We spent a good deal of time just talking about each other's lives and they seemed as interested in ours as we were with theirs, a real bonding experience.

Fajar our tour guide and bima our driver were fantastic . We heard from them before . We planned our day and they were flexible and very professional . Car has good air conditioning . Tour was well done . I shopped for Batik at a great place .. ask for them
