Caracol Maya Ruins Tour Including Rio On Pools, Rio Frio Cave and a Picnic Lunch

So happy that I chose this tour. The experience is much more intimate than any other Mayan ruins. Not crowded at all’ at times, we have the place all to ourselves. Out guide Leo was excellent. He is experienced and knowledgeable, made this tour much more worthwhile.

Caracol was definitely an impressive site. Lots of great temples and structures that you are still able to fully explore while you're there. The Rio Cave was beautiful but there was a 30 min hike to get to it for reference. Not super challenging, just felt really long in the heat. DEFINITELY bring a large bottle of water. The pools were beautiful but the rock was very slippery where it was in the water so I recommend a good set of shoes that you don't mind using in the water here. Great guide with great information and stories that really fleshed out what we were seeing around us. MayaWalk takes good care of it's tour groups and man their picnic lunches are tasty!

We loved this tour. I think the company that does this tour is great. This was our second tour with them. We lucked out with a very small group and we were in a nice new van. It’s a very early start, but worth it. Bring a snack. The first stop was a stunning cave. Then Caracol, which was amazing. The guide gave us time to explore an area by ourselves, so that was cool. The last stop was the pools. Be careful because the water can be strong, but it was so cool. A great time was had by all.

One of the most informative tours I have ever aken. Lion, our guide, was very, very knowledgeable and brought the ruins to life. The pools were a refreshing way to end the day.

Fantastic your with very knowledgeable guide! We could not do the swimming part at Rio on pools due to rapid water flow after big storm but still great day

What an amazing experience!! Ed was the best tour guide ever and we booked two more tours with Maya Walks because of his (and the teams) excellent nature. The ruins at Caracol are amazing and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Belize. Lunch was delicious and served with second helpings if desired. Rio on pools was super fun (be careful it’s slippery). If you’re in San Ignacio please book with Maya Walks…you will not be disappointed.

This experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Our guide, Edeoni, was incredible—so knowledgeable and passionate, yet engaging and easy to listen to. What really stood out was how he wove fascinating stories around the facts, making history (and the whole area)come alive in such a unique way. Every moment felt thoughtfully planned, and I walked away not just informed, but truly inspired. If you’re considering this experience—do it! Our driver, Mr Bol, was very willing to chat with me about more of the Mayan culture and Saidia provided a tasty lunch right at the site! You’ll learn so much and have an unforgettable time. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience visiting the ruins, brought to life by our knowledgeable & humorous guide Edeoni. I highly recommend Mayan Walks Tours & Edeoni for those seeking an adventurous and fun educational tour. Our driver Boi was an excellent driver & personable. Saidia prepared our lunch and ensured my special dietary needs were deliciously met.
