Indian Village and Meeting of the Waters Tour

This tour cost us £112- which is 850 reais EACH. So we spent over £200. Almost every activity had an additional cost associated with it. For this kind of money, I expect amazing things, especially because I highly doubt that the Brazilians on this tour paid the same amount of money as us. Firstly, the driver was 1 hour late picking us up. We stood outside our hotel in the heat for 1 hour waiting for him. When he came he was screaming down the phone. Secondly, we were the last unto the boat. So when we got unto the boat, they tried to squeeze us at the back in a little corner with 7 people. Very uncomfortable. I had to ask the tour guide to change our seat. The tour was meant to have 35 people max, and the boat had exactly 58 people. Not as advertised. For 1700 reais/£200 , I'm not expecting an experience like this. I had to talk to the tour guide to get us a new seat. The tour guide gave up his own seat. Thirdly, every stop on this tour is a tourist trap. And at every instance, they extract additional money from you. Apart from swimming with dolphins, all other experiences have hidden extras. The stops are also quite crowded and you have to share small platforms with a swarm of people. Fourthly, the tour is hardly in English. The ratio of English to Portuguese commentary is like 75% to 25%. The English is mostly need-to -know instructions with a few other small bits of information. For the quantity of money that we paid, it was not worth it and we do not recommend it to other foreign travellers.

All your crew was really welcoming too. We were really pleased to find lots of vegetarian/vegan options for the included lunch, all fresh produce. This is a lifetime experience and Leonardo and his crew execute it really smooth with all the treats you can expect.

Sadly the boat we were on was very crowded and larger than anticipated. It was not a comfortable experience. The sound system was not great so we couldn't hear or understand what the guide was saying. The Meeting of the Waters was very interesting and visually impressive Our stop to see or swim with the pink dolphins was fun for the younger participants, not so much for our little group of seniors. The Indian Village was a highlight for the performance. We were trying to guess what the significance was of the dances. Lunch was pretty good.

So I usually write out all the bad first as I have less bad than good, but this time around it’s more bad than good. The good ——————- You get to see the pink dolphins and participate with them You get to try out traditional food. Buffet food; it’s pretty good You see where the 2 rivers meet; they stop and let you take pictures there The bad —————— Ethically, you should not be holding wild animals but in this tour it’s advise not to but the way to the village there are people that do just that. From the monkeys, Macau, Caymen, and even a boa constrictor. For a fee you can hold them and take a picture. I think nature should be left alone for the eyes to see. I signed up for this tour to swim with the pink dolphins, but not like this. They put a boat full of people(usually 50 people, and who ever would like to jump into the water and chill there you can. The tour guide splashes fish in the water to entice the dolphin to swim to the bait and you get photos with the dolphin. But to be crowded with 50+ people in the water does not make a good shot nor does it make a good experience. And get this; it is only around 5 minutes long. Lower the number of people, but 5 minutes is a reasonable time though short Summary The rest of the tour is acceptable as it’s visiting the aboriginals and seeing their dance, along with fishing. I can say it’s pretty average from a tours like these. Overall I think if u have a day in Manaus it’s worth it, but visiting The waterfall is a better idea, or more of a private group to swim with the pink dolphins.

This tour met my expectations. There were about 35 people on the tour, and we waited about one and a half hours for a few stragglers before we left. Really unfair to the people who came on time. Once we started, it was what was promised and was really enjoyable.

Staff and experience was great and communication was perfect . River tour and native Indian meet up was good and we had good enough time to explore.

This tour is very interesting. and it's good for couples. it will not be regret to visit Amazon. and the guides are fun and professional.

This is one of the best travel agencies that I know. I flew to Manaus for 1 day and I needed a very rich and short excursion. The organization was ideal for me from the hotel, took a tour and met after the excursion. The excursion itself included even more places than planned. After the excursion I needed to go fishing with piras. This excursion was organized at the highest level in 15 minutes. At the end of the day I was taken to the airport. In conclusion, I want to say that everything is organized strictly in time and inexpensive.

We went on a plane trip with Leo’s team to get an airplane view of the Amazon rainforest and the river.

The best tour in the city of Manaus. We loved the experience. We enjoyed swimming with the dolphins.
