Full-Day Osorno Vulcano and Petrohue Falls Small-Group Tour

We had a wonderful day exploring the must-see sights around Lake Llanquihue. Although there were a few unexpected challenges beyond our control, the experience was still very enjoyable. Our guide, Ivan, was knowledgeable and handled the day with professionalism and flexibility. We were part of a group with both English and Spanish speakers, and we really appreciated his ability to share stories in both languages. He made sure everyone felt included and informed throughout the tour.

This was an awesome tour, highly recommend. We had plenty of time to see the waterfalls and take lots of photos. Lunch was delicious and the chair lift ride on the volcano was very cool. Definitely recommend saying yes to the optional boat ride, beautiful view from the lake. Juan Pablo was a great guide, he knew so much about the area and fauna and made the tour very interesting. It was also great to have such a small group for this tour, it was just 4 of us plus our guide and driver so everything was seamless and easy. Highly recommend.

Juan Pablo was a wonderful guide! This trip was so much fun and the lunch was great! Highly recommend the salmon, mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetables. The van is air conditioned and comfortable, making for a pleasant ride. We took the first sky lift up Osorno and hiked the red crater then had a beer, it was perfect!

From first contact to last, Patagonia Austral was top quality. Félix Zambrano Crot is a consummate professional and our guide JP was excellent. His tablet photos were well done, of local animals and birds, even an image of a trouco, which he produced in no time at all. Be sure to hear his impressions and voiceover work. We were a group of 14 coming from a cruise ship and all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. All three stops were great. But what made the day was what Félix stressed more than once, that we all disembark on the first tender so as not to delay the start of the tour. That was a masterstroke as it meant we arrived at Petrohué Falls when it was quiet. Once there, after good commentary and orientation from JP, we had two glorious hours to explore the walking trails at leisure. By the time we left at noon, the paths were thronged (three ships were in port that day), and the car park was bedlam. Except for the choice of Patagonia Austral in the first place, there was nothing more critical to the success of our tour, and I sincerely thank Félix for his advice and emphasis.

We had Jesús as our tour guide and he was the best! 10/10 driver. We had both English and Spanish speakers in our group and he made sure we all had a great experience. We particularly enjoyed the Osorno Volcano. Highly recommend booking!

Loved this tour! Our guide Ivan was great and a really lovely person. I would recommend walking the volcano, if you can. It was such a great experience and such a great landscape to photograph! All spots on the tour where excellent! A reminder to all be respectful of the time allocation to not keep everyone waiting. I really felt for our driver/tour guide who had a very long day.
