What a brilliant experience! The staff were fantastic — so friendly, funny, and full of interesting info about everything we saw. The food was absolutely amazing too, really fresh and delicious — way better than we expected on a day trip! We saw incredible wildlife, including sea eagles swooping above us, all set against a backdrop of sunshine that later turned into dramatic thunderstorms. Even then, it didn’t dampen the mood or stop the fun — it just made the scenery even more memorable! Such a special day out. Can’t recommend John Gray Sea Canoeing highly enough — a must-do if you’re in Thailand!

I am so glad I booked this adventure! This is a MUST DO if you're in Phuket. My tour guide was Tom and he was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and camera ready to get the best shots of me around the islands and cave. I enjoyed this excursion from start to finish. The pick up and drop to my air bnb was prompt, the food was delicious and if I am honest I don't have a strong taste buds for thai food but kudos to the chefs on board the ship, I even went for seconds. The views are unmatched and even the photos and video can't do the beauty of this untouched nature justice. I especially enjoyed how artsy and creative my Guides along with the rest are when we did the loy kathong floating offering for the water guides. I went on this adventure solo and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I may be bias but if you do decide to do this, ask for TOM. You won't regret it, either way you will be glad you booked this adventure. I am soon grateful!

Great day in the bay saw amazing natural beauty, had a beautiful lunch and dinner. The whole team is a 10/10 , the canoeing was such fun saw bats/lizards

The Hong by Starlight sea cave kayaking tour was an unforgettable experience! Gliding through the limestone caves and hidden lagoons was peaceful, scenic, and full of natural beauty. Our guide was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. The rock formations, crystal-clear water, and quiet surroundings created a truly magical atmosphere. Everything was well-organized, and the kayaks were stable and easy to handle. This tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Phuket who loves nature, adventure, and exploring unique landscapes. Highly recommended!

My husband, daughter, and I recently embarked on this unforgettable journey, and it touched our hearts in ways we’ll never forget! The staff were absolutely wonderful. We had a guide for all of our kayaking adventures, shout out to Woody who above and beyond to ensure we had a great day. All the staff were super knowledgeable and friendly. They really made the day special with so many memorable moments that we’ll cherish as a family for years to come. The food was also amazing, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner were all prepared on the boat and tasted so fresh and delicious. I’d definitely recommend this tour if you’re interested in exploring caves, islands, and enjoying some kayaking fun with a team that will look after you.

I'm writing a second review for this trip over 18 months since we took it because there's a moment that has stuck with me all this time. It was truly magical and one of those core memories I know I'll never forget. A member of the crew led my children and I to the front of the boat on the journey back to the dock. We sat and felt the ocean spray out faces while we looked out across the sea and clear sky and saw more stars than we've ever seen before. We felt like we were flying. The crew member made sure we were safely back on deck and I told him how much I appreciated it but I really don't think even I know then what those moments would come to mean to me. The whole day was incredible, the absolute highlight of our trip despite my worry that the kids would be bored (not a chance) or that they wouldn't enjoy the food (both fussy eaters found something they loved!) Don't hesitate to book this trip. It's one of a kind.

I booked this tour based on the great reviews here and have always had good luck following them. We found out how early we would be picked up and decided to take our own vehicle to Ao Po pier. When we arrived found some locals to guide us to John Grays. We checked in with Mr Yu who let us know we would be waiting for everyone to arrive and we hung out waiting for the group. As the group got larger and larger my wife asked if we were on the right tour group as the advertisement on facebook and wen I spoke to representative said a max of 30 people. My wife asked the guide helping Mr. Yu we signed in to the wrong group and he told her they haven't done tours that small in several years she then asked how many people were coming and he told her 49 so far and that we were lucky it wasn't 60. She asked if she could speak to someone about it and he told her she could write a bad review on trip advisor if she had a complaint? At this point we were commited so we just waited to see how it would go. On the boat they took the 10 or 15 people that spoke English to the front of the boat so they could explain everything and we heded out. The lunch was good albeit a bit hectic with the number of people board. We were traveling tndem with another John Gray boat with an equal number of people but we split up at the islands. When the food came out it was evident quickly that we would not be getting anything but some leftover rice as the crowd of tourists from ….. ate giant portions and literally every shrimp or piece of fish they had. It was sad!

This was an excursion on a group tour I was a part of and Charlie and his team made the day unforgettable. They were all really attentive, made a fun environment, and got us from point A to point B safely. I was a little uneasy about the tour cave and the tight spaces but they are expert navigators and assured me there was nothing to worry about. A day I'll never forget!
