The 10 Tastings of Taipei With Locals: Private Street Food Tour

This food tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Eva, our guide, was exceptional—friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the city to life with fascinating insights and stories. We loved exploring parts of Taipei and sampling a wide variety of delicious local dishes and treats we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. It was the perfect blend of food and culture. Highly recommended!

Galen was such a great guide and went over not only the amazing food Taipei has to offer, but the history as well. She gave me many tips for navigating the food scene on my own as well and I tried so many places I would not have found otherwise! I highly recommend this tour! You won’t regret it:)

Our food tour was a tour by an extremely well versed and knowledgeable food guide and tour guide. It was amazing. First, the guide, her name is Garen was superb in every way. She taught us so so much about Taiwan and its heritage and explained so much of why the foods are the way they are. It was like having a private tour of a local area and a private food tour of the area all rolled up into one magnificent evening. Fours hours of just the best food ever. I had unbelievable fresh food including dumplings, pancakes, oyster rolls (which are just fabulous), different soups, different deserts, different drinks. It seemed and still seems like way more than 10 tastings. So much local flavor and evry place we went, the owners knew Garen very very well. She paid for evrything and had so much prepared in terms of anything you could ever ask for. Just a fabulous night, not to be ever missed if you visit Taipei. Thank you so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great one on one food and culture tour with June, and it was great. We learned a lot about the unique food and culture of the country. There was an abundance of food to try and we ended the tour very satisified.

An amazing experience, plenty of good food and snacks with a wonderful guide. June was an excellent conversationalist and a wellspring of information on both Taiwanese history and plenty of tips on what else to do later. She preferred tea over coffee, 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Garen did an outstanding job in showing us a local market, local lunch spots featuring local foods and local people. We learned a lot, ate a lot, got great photos, and learned Taiwan etiquette in ordering and eating food. This tour began and ended at a metro stop with an escalator, easy to reach. Though we covered a lot of history, a diverse food culture, and fusion; our actual walking distance was contained to just a few blocks, nice!

Eva was excellent, friendly and very helpful. We would never had tried the array of foods from the street vendors, we were too scared incase we got sick but she gave us utter confidence . She gave the stories of many of the people that the businesses had been running for over 40 years. Good value for money and we highly recommend doing this food tour.

This food tour was absolutely wonderful and our guide, Garen, was incredible. We have done tours all over the world and Garen was the best guide we have ever had anywhere. I would highly recommend any tour with her!

My tour guide June was such a pleasure to spend my first night at Taipei with. She was knowledgeable in which places to eat and in visiting other areas of Taipei where we could shop a little bit. She had great suggestions in general regarding food and knew her history as well!

This tour was an excellent introduction to Taipei. Eva was lovely and gave us lots of information and stories. We walked through markets and into temples, around the old Japanese area, and finished at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall - just in time for the changing of the guards! We had lots of delicious food to eat. I'd highly recommend Eva's tour.
