Coffee Museum and Coffee Tour el Cafe-tal apan

This is a good activity to do if you like coffee and are in Coatepec. It is located right outside of the town, about 8 minutes away. They offer guided tours with an explanation about how coffee is grown, processed and commercialized. At first, they show you a movie about Coffee, It is very interesting, however, I wished they had a bigger screen and that it was louder, because the museum sits right next to the highway, so every time a big truck goes by, it gets so noisy you can’t hear anything. And because of the coffee and sugar plantations in the area, those big trucks drive by constantly. After the movie, they take you on the tour, where you go outside to see the coffee plants, then the grains, how they dry them, and toast them and the whole process. Our guide was excellent and she answered all our questions. We learnt all about coffee. At the end of the tour, she offered everyone a coffee, which was delicious, even my kids got to try coffee with their Lechero version. It was awesome because my oldest actually liked it! We really enjoyed the museum, drinking coffee and exploring around. Highly recommend it.

Vale muchísimo la pena, la caminata es increíble, las vistas hermosas, aprender sobre la cultura del café, degustar café, la comida y sobre todo la atención hizo que pasáramos un día maravilloso. La atención tanto de los dueños como del personal es muy amable y agradable.

Excelente paseo ppr los cafetales y explocacion del proceso de fabricacion. Muy recomendable incluido el menu del restaurante.

No vale le pena el precio del paquete completo, al paseo de la finca te piden que lleves al guía en tu propio auto, y no hay mucho que ver, prácticamente ves lo mismo que puedes ver el los cafetales que se ven en el camino hacia Coatepec y xico . Lo único que vale la pena es la degustacion en la misma cafetería.

Hele aangename ervaring, vriendelijke ontvangst. Mijn vriendin en ik boekten de hiking tour. Het houdt een bezoek aan de waterval en een koffieplantage in. We bezochten nadien de plaats van verwerking alsook het museum. Er werd lekkere koffie aangeboden naar wens en de lunch bestond uit lekkere taco’s. Het bezoek duurde een uur minder dan voorzien maar we waren tevreden. Goed bereikbaar vanuit Xalapa en Coatepec.

El tour, la visita al museo todo fue bueno. Se aprende mucho sobre el proceso y la calidad del café. Excelente lugar para visitar y comprar café y aderezos para comer.

Espectacular tour por los cafetales y las vistas del río Pixquiuac con su cascada llena de nidos de zopilotes, genial degustación de café y muy completo desayuno. La atención de Ángel el guía dentro del cafetal y de Marina en el museo ha sido espectacular, sin duda mucho más que recomendable. Nos ha gustado muchísimo, si podemos, volveremos sin duda.

Experiencia 360° del proceso del Café, Proceso de creciminto, crecimiento, cosecha, degustación en el museo, trayecto en Camioneta Vintage, recorrido en los cafetales, sentir la naturaleza, comida en restaurante al aire libre bien ambientado y equipado. Cosas por mejorar: la coordinación o administración, ya que no sabían de mi reservación, en restaurante mucho tiempo de espera para pedir, servir y finalizar cuenta.
