Artistic hub in Mantua, that deserves to be suitably explained is Palazzo Te, a suburban villa devoted to the pleasures of leisure. Architect Giulio Romano, as the heir of his great master Raphael, is called from Rome to build and decorate this Renaissance villa between 1525 and 1535, inspired by ancient Roman villas.
Palazzo Te is an exemplary model of the Mannerist style as about architecture and an outstanding example of 16th century Italian painting. The name of the building derives from that of the place where it was built: the “island of Tejeto”, abbreviated as “Te”, where mantuan Lords held the ducal stables for the breeding of famous Gonzaga thoroughbred trained for battlefields and tournaments.

Tiziana guided us through the stunning Te Palace and Ducal Palace, she was very professional and informative in terms of the art and history of the area and also gave us tips on where to stay and eat which were very welcome. Would highly recommend.

Perfect! We went here with a group of students on an exchange. This guide was amazing, and her English was very good. She told us a lot of interesting facts about the place, and she knew so much! We really enjoyed the tour. Thanks again!

Beautiful visit. The guide was helpful, competent and never boring. Palazzo Tè is wonderful but without Tiziana's stories I would not have appreciated them as much. Thank you!

Tiziana was literally an amazing guide. Well worth having a guide for this incfredible palace. She speaks perfect English and was incredibly enthusiastic .

A intriguing look at one of the masterpiece s of the 1500's. Mantua is a little off the beaten path but worth the effort to get there. The historical center is easily walkable with great restaurants, shops and people.

La visita guidata a Palazzo Te è stata un'esperienza indimenticabile, resa davvero speciale grazie alla nostra guida. Fin dal primo momento si è percepita la sua grande competenza e passione per l'arte e la storia di Mantova. Ha saputo spiegare in modo semplice ma approfondito i significati nascosti delle decorazioni di Giulio Romano e i suoi pupilli, intrecciando aneddoti storici e curiosità che hanno reso la visita viva e coinvolgente. La visita è stata ben organizzata con tempi perfetti ed un linguaggio adatto anche (come me) ai meno esperti d'arte. Consiglio di scegliere la visita guidata perché permette di cogliere aspetti che passerebbero altrimenti inosservati. Grazie mille Tiziana!!

Un vrai délire pictural, un grand voyage dans l’art et l’architecture dans un écrin de verdure !!! Tout est BEAU !!! On ne se lasse de se balader de salle en salle plus baroque l'une que l'autre dans un beau voyage des yeux et du coeur.
