Captain Cook /Kealakekua Bay

This definitely exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip for sure. Trip was basically 1/3 snorkeling in a beautiful lagoon, 1/3 fun boat party with tunes and food, and 1/3 scenic coastal boat cruise. Staff was friendly and helpful. They provided all the gear we needed, and even had prescription masks for us eyeglass wearers. For my daughter that was a less confident swimmer, they had a pool noodle to help her float. We appreciated that this tour launches from the northern side of Kailua-Kona. Coming from Waikoloa, this was a lot more convenient for us than many of the competitors that launch from the south side. We also liked how this boat was a good size, but not crazy big. It is still quite fast and can get close to the cliffs, but it is big enough to have a shaded deck and a top deck with a slide and diving board.

We were traveling with a big group for my daughter’s wedding. The crew we had was so accommodating and friendly. They absolutely made our day amazing. This went smooth and they were knowledgeable. Treating everyone so nice. Truly a great experience:)

This tour was excellent and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Big Island. Watching the manta rays up close was unforgettable, and being out on the ocean at night made it a truly unique experience.

Sight see, snorkeling was beautiful. Lunch was perfect. I recommend this to everyone especially the captain and crew were phenomenal.

Going out to the cove to snorkel was great. We weren’t the only boat out there, but we arrived before the others. Knowing what to look for gave us an advantage over the others who arrived later. Fantastic day!!

Great excursion from cruise ship. Nice boat ride out to monument, great snorkeling & yummy lunch, & great price compared to other similar tours.

I live here and have been on several Snorkel Excursions. This one was the best. It will be my go to from here on out… The reasonable price first attracted me so I didn’t have high expectations… Wow was I wrong. The boat itself was no frills but had everything needed including a bathroom. The food was excellent and plentiful. But the best part was the staff. Aiden, Kaiden and Kiwimani (Hope my spelling is close) were amazing. They made sure it was fun and safe. I learned so much. Aiden told great stories! Oh… one last thing… best music ever!

Fantastic tour! The boat is clean and two people get their own bench if sitting on the bottom, or stand in front or sit on top. 25 min ride to the snorkeling spot. You stay here for two hours, and get lunch - great sandwiches, chips, and fruit, water or sprite. They give you snorkel equipment if you want. Then head back but stop at a couple spots for pictures. We saw dolphins on the way back. Bring extra money for tips because it’s a great crew.

Fantastic experience! Comfortable boat, great crew, lots of extras including snacks and lunch. We had up to 1 1/2 hours to snorkel in the beautiful Captain Cook bay and saw lots of great fish. Highly recommended and well worth the price for what you get compared to other options. Oh, did we mention the great music? 👍

The trip was fantastic! The crew was very competent, friendly, and made sure we were safe and having a good time. The lunch was really good, a slide on the boat for fun and of course the snorkeling was amazing! The crew took us to a dolphin pod on our way back, stopped at other points of interest and directed us to a turtle beach when we got back to shore. Over all excellent day!
