Puerto Varas: Full day Osorno Volcano and Petrohue falls

A great experience in Puerto Varas. Our guide Nelly was knowledgeable and made this tour fun. She gave us lots of information and answered our questions. It was snowing when we got to the Orsorno Volcano. It was an amazing site. I highly recommend this tour.

Loved the experience! Mauricio was super nice and always with a smile. The restaurant was OK, but everything else was very good and very flexible and friendly.

Our guide for the day, Nelly, was great. Very friendly and helpful and gave us all the information needed, and was very entertaining. 5/5 for her. The minibus was clean and well maintained. The driver was also a very nice guy and funny. The waterfalls were nice to see. Lunch was excellent and very enjoyable and a good price. The group was friendly and helpful especially the Brazilian couple who helped me a lot as a non Spanish speaker. And the trip up the volcano was also interesting although cold near the top- warm jacket and a hat advisable. I would have added another hour or so to the trip- the ski lift up the volcano (29000 CLP) was possibly the slowest in the world and the distance between points is quite a long way- this led to things being a little rushed and as a result, one guest was sick on the bus (not her fault) because the road up the volcano is very winding and immediately after lunch, also on the return journey the driver was going pretty fast and made some potentially dangerous overtaking manoeuvres- I’m a professional driver myself so I note these things. Safety and comfort should always be paramount so adding more time into the tour would have resolved this

Nelly was our guide and she was great! Very informative and we knew what to except. She communicated in English and Spanish. The views of the volcano were amazing and so was the waterfall. She was prompt with keeping everyone on track with time. Great experience!

It was a good trip to visit the amazing Petrohué waterfalls and Osorno volcano near Puerto Varas. Our tour guide Jenny was excellent in terms of managing the entire trip. She tools us to an amazing restaurant for lunch and we all loved the scrumptious menu.

The programme is well designed and the activity is well delivered. The guide knows his subject well.

The positive thing about this trip was our tour guide who spoke very good English and made sure that we understood his commentary. The negatives were as follows: 1. The bus was completely full, too small and exceptionally uncomfortable. 2. if you were fortunate enough to be picked up first, you could get one of the more comfortable seats. But those of us that got picked up last got stuck at the back of the bus in the most uncomfortable seats imaginable. My wife and I were crammed in a bench seat that was best suited For three people not four. If I had had the opportunity, I would’ve gotten off the bus and tried to get my money back. Naturally, the people that had the more comfortable seats were unwilling to give theirs up all day long. 3. The stop at the Falls was pleasant and we enjoyed the hikes and the waterfalls. 4. The trip to the top of the volcano was on eventful, but with all the switchbacks, braking and accelerating. It was really uncomfortable in the van.. 5. Our tour guide was unable to keep One family on time and they consistently held up the group at every stop including lunch. 6. The lunch was overpriced and really not very good. Several people complained about the poor quality of the food. 7. None of the stops and attractions on the tour are included in the price. The entire cost of the trip is for the bus ride. This is explained several times by the tour guide, but needs to be reiterated. All in all, you could do everything on this tour yourself if you had a Rent-A-Car or other transportation. That would also free you up to have a lunch somewhere else or a picnic if you bring your own food.

Jenny was a wonderful guide and super friendly! Recommend for sure. The volcano was certainly the highlight. Be careful along the trails. Can be easy to get lost since they are not labeled.

The weather cleared & Osorno Volcano was clear to the top. We enjoyed the hike through the National Park in the morning while it was still heavy clouds. Our tour guide, Penny was wise in making the decisions to visit the sights in the order she chose. She met us on the trail & walked with us part of the time. She enjoys people & is very cordial. Our lunch was delicious at a restaurant on the lake. The grilling meat smelled wonderful as we drove into the parking lot. It’s always helpful when the guide chooses a restaurant. By now the Sun was out full to go to Osorno! We had plenty of time from the drive up to the ski center lift & on up to the glacier if we chose. The tour was full with 16people. The guide spoke well in both English & Spanish & took the time to be sure we all heard the information she gave us! We were both picked up & dropped back at our hotel which was convenient!
