We booked the Mauthausen Memorial trip and Ulrich was our guide. He was knowledgeable on the history of the camp and had videos prepped for us to view en route to the memorial. Additionally, our group had 3 senior citizens, and one experienced difficulties at the Memorial. Ulrich stayed with her to make sure she was comfortable and made arrangements to help the rest of the group get the best information from this memorial. He really went above and beyond a normal tour guide. Outstanding service all around.

A very enlightening day. Tom, our guide, was superb. From the moment we got into the car we learnt so much from him. È uno di quei luoghi in cui non si sa mai se leggere il più possibile o solo girolare cercando di assorbire i ricordi che scaturiscono dalle cose. Tant'è che se ne esce un po' diversi da come si era entrati.

e parlava soltanto inglese. Nessun problema comunque nella visita al campo perchè l'audioguida in italiano è eccezionale e semplice da usare. Anche se la guida non parlava italiano è stato gentilissimo e puntualissimo, il van era molto confortevole nel viaggio di 2 ore Vienna-Mathausen. Importante: la guida ci ha portato con il van a vedere la "scala della morte" dal basso perchè non era accessibile dall'alto. E' stata una esperienza molto toccante per noi e per i nostri figli, la "stanza dei nomi" non si dimentica facilmente, impressionante. Perfetto il meccanismo di prenotazione Viator e le informazioni fornite prima della partenza, comodo pick-up personalizzato dal nostro hotel.
