Victoria City and Butchart Gardens Private Half-Day Tour

The gardens were amazing and the tour of Victoria was great due to our fabulous tour guide Richard from Surfside Adventure tours. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and informative.We were a group of 13 passengers that had an enjoyable time.

Alan was an outstanding guide for the 3 of us doing a private cruise shore excursion of Victoria. Alan met us on time right outside the cruise terminal and is a friendly, interesting and knowledgeable person. Nothing was rushed and he was flexible on timing and where we stopped. He is also excellent value compared to pricey and regimented cruise line excursions. I strongly recommend Alan for an interesting, friendly and flexible tour of Victoria.

We only had 5 hours in Victoria Canada. Our driver, Phil took us to the Bushart Gardens and then drove us around the city teaching us so many things. He even stopped so we could have a great lunch.

Lovely morning exploring Victoria. Alan was very friendly and knowledgeable. We started visiting Butchart Gardens which wasn’t too crowded and then drove around to get familiar with the area. Really wonderful.

Our guide Lee was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful in every way. He made our tour of the Butchart Gardens and Victoria a very pleasant and memorable one.

It was such a treat to have our driver meet us holding our name on a sign, easy to find after leaving our ship and quickly start on our day. Vehicle was comfortable. It was nice to be able to stop when we wanted to and have the tour stops be tailored to our needs. We were available to get ahead of the big tour groups and had some time at the gardens before the bigger crowds of people started to arrive. Nicer for taking photos in this incredibly beautiful location. Every turn offered breathtaking views to be marvelled. It was nice to have someone who had local knowledge and passion for the beautiful place they live. It was nice to finish our tour with a local stop for prime seafood in a relaxed street side setting. It was a very short walk back to the shop from there. Great day in Victoria. Very proud to be Canadian.

Definitely go to Butchart Gardens in the morning before too busy. An absolute must to visit in Victoria. Our guide, Richard, was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
