AUTHENTIC OAXACA FOOD TOUR, eat like a local.

An excellent and comprehensive way to experience the food Oaxaca is renowned for. We covered breakfast (empanadas, cafe, atoles), to lunch (tylaudas, tamales) to late afternoon snacks (fruit, ice cream) and it was all done safely (lots of hand wipes and sanitizer available), and with cultural context and history. We also supported many female run businesses which made the tour even more appealing. Arora and her team were wonderful!

An excellent introduction to local foodi, we did this tour the first morning of our holiday and it gave us an excellent grounding and understanding for the huge variety of cuisine on offer. Our guide, Elle, was super knowledgeable and lovely. Higly recommend.

This food tour is top notch and a full day of culture, history, and of course food! We tried so many tasty foods from restaurants, street vendors, and the Mercado. In addition to food, there were several drinks throughout the tour. This tour features women owned businesses and is owned by a woman which I loved. The food and drinks were well spread out and the options for more/second helping were available at almost each stop. Our tour even included a couple extra food options due to the holiday. This team really goes above and beyond to make your experience the best. I appreciate that they provided water during the tour and hand sanitizer and wipes through out. They provided us with the the information of the stops we went to and the food we tried if we wanted to venture there on another day. They were also very knowledgeable with other local tours and transportation and offered to help partner us with them if we'd like. This tour is a little more money than other options available, but I tell you, it's worth it. Trying about 25 different food and drink options is far more than any other company offers.. so this is your tour for a true food experience. Thier kindness and hospitality extends beyond the tour. We saw them out touring a couple days later and went up to say hello. Not only did they remember us, but gave us a hug and helped us order some of our favorites from the street food stall we were at. I also suggest doing this tour within the first day or two of arriving to Oaxaca, as it gave us a really good idea of where and what to eat. Thank your ladies (and gentlemen) for one of my favorite tours ever experienced.

We had the best experience with Betsaida and her team. It was a very well planned tour that was full of information and stops to show just how amazing Oaxaca and the people of Oaxaca are. We were also given photos, a list of stops we made after the tour and suggestions for shopping and eating which we used during our stay. Our group of four people had an amazing cultural food tour of Oaxaca city with Me Encanta Oaxaca. All four of us are foodies and very interested in the people and stories behind traditional foods, and we found Betsaida and her team to be exceptional guides. Aurora was incredibly knowledgeable about not only everything we tasted but the people making the food. We sampled from specialist spots (atole! chocolate ice cream! chipulines!), street vendors (tacos! empanadas!), and at the three markets we visited (tamales! tlayuda! mezcal! mole! exotic fruits! and much more!). I've marked each with an exclamation point because each was absolutely delicious. And we certainly ate our fill. The tour was also extremely well organized. Alongside Aurora was her colleague Fatima who sprinted ahead of us to make sure our next place was ready for us and to provide spoons, napkins, and hand wipes. I've been on many food tours around the world, and I found Me Encanta de Oaxaca to be the best. The team provides a wonderful experience, and it is very good value for money. If you come to Oaxaca, do not miss it!

This was a wonderful tour - the right amount of food, the right length, and extremely informative, supporting local oaxahan businesses and providing an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend to anyone visiting oaxahaca.

Enjoyed a great walking food tour with the tour guide Bedsida. Bedside was great with the balance of taking us to taste Oaxacan foods and giving us knowledge and history of Oaxaca. We also had 5 different types of Mezcal from a local producer. This was a great tour.

This tour was a wonderful and delicious introduction to Oaxacan culture and cuisine! The hours flew by as our guides explained each dish and its meaning. They were so very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this tour!

This is the best food tour I’ve ever been on. It’s 6-7 hours long which at first glance seems unusually long but it’s because you are literally going to eat everything. We tried a range of foods from empanadas, memelas, tacos, pasteles, about 10-15 different fruits, drinks like atole, tejate, coffee, chocolate and agua frescas, sampled four different mezcals, ice cream and different carne asadas and even some bugs if you choose. Bethsaida the amazing girl boss of Me Encanta Oaxaca also makes a point of supporting women owned businesses. She runs a well oiled machine with walkee-talkees to communicate with staff and start placing orders in advance. She also has sanitizer, wipes, toothpicks, bottled water and cups ready to go depending on which stall we’re going to. You also end up going to three different markets so you get a feel for each of them and she explains how to buy on your own should you want to come back. On top of all that she also shares important facts about Mexican history so it’s not just a food tour but a walking tour as well. She really thought of everything! Communication on WhatsApp before and after was also very detailed. All in all a fantastic tour
