Utah & Omaha Beaches D-Day Group Tour from Bayeux

Excellent review of history of D Day in World War 11 and the role of American military at each stop. Fred could not have been any better! All of the sites have been thoughtfully designed to honor our Service men and women and are being maintained with great love and respect for American servicemen for coming to free France from the German Nazi regime. The only negative is the amount of walking and number of steps, which were not created by the tour company. I do not recommend this tour for those with back, leg, or knee problems. Instead, find good videos at home on Youtube.

This was a great tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic about history. I would definitely recommend.

Fred was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. He presented the information in an easy to understand manner - so many details, unknown to us. We learned a lot. He was open to all our questions and had the answers. Couldn’t ask for a better guide. Definitely book this tour.

we took the train from Paris and stayed in Bayeux at the René Matilde hotel. The tour itself was excellent, our guide Pasqual was outstanding and entertaining. His knowledge of the D day events was second to none. if you’re staying in Paris, I would recommend taking the train and spending the night in Bayeux . Bayeux is a beautiful little French town with nice restaurants and interesting shops and bakeries. One word of caution, however, virtually everything is closed on Mondays in Bayeux. taking a late morning train from Paris. Also gave us an opportunity to visit the War memorial museum that afternoon. The tour itself was great. However, my only suggestion would be to limit the time at Omaha Beach and spend more time at Point du Hoc. spent about 40 minutes standing on the beach at Omaha Beach listening to the events of that day but I think it could’ve probably been consent 20 minutes. That way we could’ve spent an additional 20 minutes at point to Hawk, which is much more interesting. nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and definitely recommend it

We had a fantastic day with our guide, Fred. We visited and saw all the stops listed on the itinerary, and Fred had great information and commentary the entire day. I have been to Normandy and the D Day beaches before, but my husband hasn’t, and he said the day was everything he hoped it would be. The meeting point was easy to find and less than a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The van was very clean and comfortable, and Fred made sure to point out restrooms when needed and good spots for a quick bite to eat. Highly recommend checking out the Airborne Museum if you can move quickly, and then grab a sandwich at The Normandy Bar, 5 stars to Fred and Bayeux Shuttle for a wonderful experience.

Fredrick (Fred) guided us for the 8hr n 30 mins was excellent. His knowledge n jokes were right on. Not robotic or boring. Asked us for questions. Fred made the whole tour amazing very patient n offer tips on where to go for a quick coffee. We totally enjoyed our guide Fred n tour. Definitely recommend it.

Our tour was fantastic! The guide. Fred, was insightful, informative, and funny—making the whole experience both educational and entertaining. We learned so much and had a great time from start to finish. Overall, a real win!

The tour led by Marie was fantastic! The tour was well organized and the wealth of D-Day history & knowledge, imparted to the us by Marie was tremendous. My wife and I, learned so much and enjoyed the entire tour.
