We meet you at the port and go over to the Parking area, here at the mouth of the Belize river is where the colony of British Honduras started, first by Pirates, then Mahagony loggers and slaves, relics of their time include colonial mansions, Mahagony chips and old rum bottles. on a slow sightseeing drive, Hear and see all of the historic stories of yester year. the memorial tomb and lighthouse of our benefactor, the colonial houses, the memorial park, banks, churches, clinics, pharmacy, hospitals, schools and businesses. the vehicle will go slowly thru the streets as we look at the historic city, houses, flowering plants, birds and people.
Stops along the route for photos and purchasing from street vendors and a visit the RUM Factory and Old Rum Museum, when opened (rum place is closed on weekends and a few Belize holidays). You get ample time to buy from the Tasting bar and from the Rum Gift Shop, then the drive continues thru the older part of town and continue to the port.
