They said they’d be taking photos of us while we kayaked. I ended up seeing 0 bioluminescence during the trip and 0 photos after the trip because they never sent it to us. Even a friend I met on this tour didn’t get her photos. If you fall behind you’ll have this super aggressive employee kayaking right behind you yelling which direction to paddle in, because the river is narrow. If you paddle left, right, left but he said left, left, right he starts yelling his instructions louder. I arrived drenched in sweat but at least the way back was enjoyable since we were going with the tide. Tour said 1.5 to 2 hour trip, we were back in less than 1.5 though, presumably because there was no bioluminescence.

It was a workout if you’ve never kayaked before, but it’s well worth it at the end absolutely beautiful. Seeing the stars and planets under a deep dark sky was also amazing a rarity where we come from.

Two fat, old out of shape people here. We had fun! Kayaking upstream was a little difficult, but the team helped us. The bioluminescence was a little dim, but they did warn us and it’s better than anything back home.

Experience was great. We didn’t get to see a lot of the plankton due to the weather and water conditions. But the staff still made it fun.

Daniel, Lauri, Miguel, and crew were great. My boyfriend and I aren’t very versed in Kayaking and we were certainly not prepared for this. It is quite a journey but despite all of that the crew was helpful and patient. If this is your thing, I would highly recommend!

This was our 6th adventure with Kayaking Puerto Rico. Just an overall great team of people. On this particular experience the guides were great! Neishaliz, Daniel, Miguel Francisco, and, Brian were all amazing. Brian even helped tow our kayak that had a small child. All around a great tour with a great company!

I would highly recommend this tour. Daniel, Miguel, Lori, Francisco and Neishaliz were awesome! They were great at keeping the group together and keeping it fun, despite some stragglers not following directions and running straight into the mangroves. Not their fault, but it was a funny sight. The crew was very welcoming and had a lot of information to give. Thank you for the workout!

Super fun! We kayaked out to the ocean and looked at the bioluminescence and constellations and different animals in the water. had a great time

It was a first time kayaking. Guides were very helpful in navigating the mangrove channel. The experience to see the bio luminescence was amazing. It would not have been possible without Mighuel and Lori.

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Maximum Weight Limit: 240 lbs PER ONE GUEST | up to 425 lbs COMBINED PER KAYAK
- Minimum age is 6 years old | Participants Age 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same kayak. Participants 14-17 must have an adult participating on the tour.
- Wear Comfortable clothes that can get wet (bathing suit shorts), shoes that can get wet (flip flops / water shoes), bring a towel and change of clothes (for after the excursion).
- Odd number parties will be assigned on double kayaks during the tour.
- Bring your cell phone during your travel (in the event that we need to contact you, or you need to contact us prior to the excursion)
- This excursion requires a minimum of at least 6 total participants in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (i.e. reschedule for a different date or time that has the minimum requirement, payment options for a private excursion, or cancel without penalty)
- For safety reasons we requiere all guests are able to communicate in English or Spanish.
- Not recommended for travelers with back, neck, wrist, arm, leg problems, recent surgeries / injuries and/or cast.
- Not recommended for travelers who are prone to panic attacks
- Not permitted for pregnant travelers
- Maximum weight per person is 240 lbs
