Napa Valley Open Air Wine Trolley Tour with Lunch

Very expensive for what it is. The trolley guide was great - don't get me wrong. but you are basically just paying to ride in a trolley. Each tasting is additional, lunch is a fixed menu - great food but def left hungry; next time I would just take an uber.

The driver was knowledgeable and patient. He really made the experience great. We highly recommend this tour.

The Wine Trolley Tour was great!! We had so much fun! Dennis was our driver and he was wonderful! The restaurant we ate at for lunch was excellent!

Great fun at all locations. Good education on wine and an excellent lunch. We very much enjoyed the day.

Don‘t get me wrong, we had a very nice day on the Wine Trolley. But it is important to manage expectations. The Wine Trolley is Not Updated to modern standards. Our tour Guide Greg, who was fantastic by the way, was screaming through a ratteling and very primitive loudspeaker system , so it was loud, but still hard to hear. Wine tastings were a bit pricey and the wines were average. On the first stop, the host was a non-native speaker, a Chinese lady who was difficult to understand. The close to Michelin Star appraised lunch consisted of a César Salad, Pasta with a boring sauce that was not seasoned enough and pizza that was clearly not homemade. Dishes arrived in 1 bowl, were not plentiful, and had to be shared between 6-8 people on the table. At the second winery the host was very over the top, dancing around with merchandise in front of her, appraising their wines like a guy selling snake oil. The last stop was my favorite, Backstage vinyards, beautiful setting, great host. We had also a lot of fun in a very nice group of people, all ok if you expect average quality.

Had a great time cruising with Paul on the Napa Valley Wine Trolley. Our lunch at Bottega was the best meal of our entire trip.

Our driver was great. It was a bit chilly and windy since this is basically an open air trolly. The 1st stop Rutherford Ranch was very informative. Wine tasting was done while walking the property. The other 2 stops were just sitting down during tastings. (We chose to forego those) Lunch at Bottega not so good. Service was family style. Pasta was ok but pizza was apparently baked well before we arrived and looked as if the dough was premade and froze. The coffee gelato was served in a 2oz plastic cup with a plastic spoon. Was not impressed for an expensive Napa Valley restaurant.

The tour itself was fun, we had Paul as our guide and he was great. The lunch was extremely dissapointing. We were served food that couldve been served at a high school. Wilted salad, frozen then overcooked pizzas, basic pasta with red sauce, and a tiny ice cream served in a plastic mouthwash sized cup.

We had a great time on the trolley! Our guide, the wineries and the lunch were all fantastic! I love that we stayed on schedule without being rushed!

Excellent experience. We particularly enjoyed the Backstage Winery. Every tasting at this winery was outstanding. Great group of people on the trolley. Lunch stop was awesome. Great food and the restaurant was beautiful. The lunch and restaurant exceeded expectations.
