Premium Wine Tour in Viña Cousiño Macul Spanish official

We have been on lots of wine tours and tastings. Paulina was one of the very best vineyard guides we have had! She was engaging and had lots of solid knowledge. Also, great wine!!

Sitting in the foothills of the Andes, Cousino Macul is in a beautiful location. Its easy to get to from Santiago, a short Uber journey away. No restaurant on site, but there are several just around the corner if you want to eat before or after. I had a lunch at Amigos del Mar which served a very acceptable lunch The vineyard is small but very pretty, the tour was easy to do & the information provided very detailed. As I had booked the premium tour I got to try some wines paired with different foods after the main tour. This was well worth doing. After the tour I walked through the vineyard down to the lake, if you have the time you must do, the backdrop of the mountains is stunning and very peaceful & quite. No problem getting an Uber back to the city, a must do trip if you enjoy your wine & want a break from the city.

I have been to Chile for work many times before and had never visited one of the local wineries. Today, traveling with a group of colleagues in the country for the first time, I finally made it. Cousino Macul is beautiful and honestly the best was the guide (Paulina), who was engaging, easy to understand (we did the English tour) and lovely. Not only she explained the wines and the history of the winery, but she spoke with each person from the group, asked where they were from, offered to take pictures, asked for their impressions on each wine. Really she's a gem and we had a great time.

It was a very nice trip to Cousiño Macul winery. Daniela, our house’s guide, is a very nice and kind person. The tour is very interesting in their historical and technical aspects. We loved it.

Amazing experience! The place is really nice, the wines are great and our guide, Mei, was awesome! She definitely made our experience much more enjoyable and fun. I went alone, but in the end the entire group was chatting and laughing like old friends.

Fantastic tour of over a century old winery. Premium tour included seven wines tasting, some of the reserve, which were very good. I could not have wished for a better guide than Beatriz: she was super knowledgeable (she knows much more than the information given on the tour so you know she's not just simply repeating something she learnt, she completely understands wine and knows her subject well), and her fun and energetic personality made the tour very enjoyable. I hope you get her when you visit! Price point of wine tasted is between 7,000-22,000. The Andes in the backdrop adds to the charm of the place and it is so easily accessible from downtown Santiago. You can't miss it!

So awesome! Paola did an amazing job translating for us! The grounds are beautiful and the bicycle option is fun. We also really enjoyed the wine pairing! Everyone was so nice and accommodating for our lack of Spanish speaking skills! We had limited time in Santiago so this was a great option if you can’t get out to the countryside!

I turned up on a rainy day and Bea kindly offered me an english tour as the next available was in spanish. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the family & vineyard and super easy to talk to. Would highly recommend the delicious wines & Bea as a tour guide!

Due to our timing we ended up taking a Spanish speaking tour, we don’t speak Spanish; the guide made sure we understood enough to thoroughly enjoy this experience. 7 generations of history so well preserved, the huge wine barrels and cellars are incredible, the tour offered so much more then we expected. The wines we tasted were delicious, we even got to try a carmanere grape wine.

Highly recommended - skip the organized wine tours which take you around the Maipo valley. Instead, just take a cab to Vina Cousino Macul (cost us USD8 each way from providencia) and join one of their tours. Valentina was very engaged, helpful and knowledgeable. We have done wine tours in margaret river before, but this one beat them hands down in terms of the variety of wines tasted, details on tasting notes, guidance on food pairings etc.
