Small-Group Grand Canyon Day Tour from Flagstaff

This was an unplanned spur of the moment decision and we’re so glad we did it. We were lucky they had room for us. It was so nice to not do the driving and have such a helpful, fun guide. Devon was great - he got us to all the important spots along the south rim.

SERVICE: Within minutes of booking, we were contacted by the service provider to confirm the booking and finalize activity details (e.g., meeting/pickup location, lunch selection, etc.). Check-in on the day of our excursion was equally professional and efficient. FACILITIES: We chose to meet our guide at the office. The facilities are clean and comfortable, with coffee on the ready and a restroom. Some interactive displays on the Grand Canyon prime you for the trip. GUIDE: If you can request a guide, ask for Danya. She is very knowledgeable, extremely personable, and flexible. She has hiked the Canyon many times, resulting in an experience that took us to some less trafficked spots incorporating stunning views and short hikes along the rim. Her knowledge of the land was a bonus - we enjoyed conversing about the geology, plant life, and other facets that one would not normally expect. You simply can't go wrong with Danya! WHAT TO EXPECT: Tour stops were excellently planned, allowing for restroom breaks. Water, snacks, and lunch are provided. Depending on when you visit, plan for weather. It can get chilly on the North and South rims. Bring a jacket so you can layer as needed. Last pro tip: bring some cash so you can tip your guide.

My husband and I had a great experience with our tour guide, Corey! He was knowledgeable and helped us make the most of our time at the Grand Canyon. He answered all our questions and provided a wonderful picnic lunch. I highly recommend this tour!

My sisters and I went on this tour on Saturday, October 4, with Tony. I would give 10 stars if I could! Tony was so much fun, and so knowledgeable. He taught us so much about the landscape on our way, and the history of what we were seeing. He took us through an entrance to the Grand Canyon that is not well known, so we did not have to worry about long lines and crowds. Once at the Canyon, he taught us all about the geology of the layers of rock that we were seeing, in chronological order going back millions of years. Tony made it fun and interesting. We spent a wonderful day, ate a lovely picnic lunch on the rim, and had a very special experience. Tony even sang Happy Birthday to me! I would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone!

The whole trip was outstanding! Our guide Alex was so knowledgeable about geography and history of the Grand Canyon. We saw tons of different views and had a great picnic lunch overlooking the canyon.

Great communication leading up to our tour and a knowledgeable tour guide made for a great day. No way would we have had the same experience without the tour! I highly recommend this outing, and it was well worth the price.

Our tour left from Sedona. We thoroughly enjoyed our day long tour of the Grand Canyon and Rocky, our guide, rocked!! He was very knowledgeable about the canyon, the history, and the geology. It was great for my husband and me to sit back, relax, enjoy the fabulous scenery and be educated. The picnic lunch that was provided was delicious. This tour is well worth it.

My husband and I did the day tour with Grand Canyon Adventures. There were only four other people so a very nice size group. Our guide, Dayna, was extremely knowledgeable, personable and attentive. She took us to sites that were less crowded with fantastic views. Danya told great stories about the history of the canyon and major characters. We were served a delicious hearty lunch. Snacks and drinks were provided all day. Wonderful day. We hardly recommend the company and Danya.
