Half-Day Columbia River Gorge and Waterfall Hiking Tour
The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.
We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt.
We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Этот тур включал 4 различных падения. Некоторые падения были близко к дороге, а парочка была короткой, легко добраться. Все были прекрасны! Какой забавный, легкий способ увидеть и узнать о некоторых из близлежащих водопадов Портленда (без забот о толпе и ограниченной парковке) . Кричи Кэрри, которая была сказочным проводником! Она была очень информативна не только о водопадах, деревьях и фауне, но и с отличными советами для ближайших ресторанов, пивоварен, пивных идей и т.д. Очень рекомендую этот тур.

Это был отличный опыт. Наш экскурсовод, Кэрри, был чрезвычайно осведомленным и доброжелательным. Нас перевезли на фургоне к нескольким водопадам, что было здорово. В целом я бы рекомендовал 100%.

Водопады, водопады, водопады! Сайты, которые вы ожидаете впечатляющие, но именно те, которые я не ожидал, действительно сделали тур таким особенным. Мне пришлось изменить свое расписание в последний момент и связаться с Around Portland Tours — они были такими милыми и сговорчивыми. Руководство было знающим, но не дидактическим, дружелюбным, но не властным, дало нам ощущение, что она доверяет нам знать свои пределы. Поход был веселым, правильный баланс, более короткие походы, но с большими окупаемостью.

Our shop is 833 SE Main Street #124, in the four story silver and red building. If you're having trouble finding us, walk north on SE 9th Avenue from Main Street and look to your left! If you're looking for parking, you can find limited street parking and paid lots at 7th and Madison and 10th and Madison Streets You might see bicycles and helmets -- that's us! We have bike tours leaving from the same location. We operate rain or shine. We suggest layers appropriate for the day's high and low temperatures, as well as shoes with tread. In the winter and spring, expect a little muddy ground and puddles; hiking shoes or boots might be more comfortable. Except in July, August, and September, rain is quite common, so a rain jacket can be a great idea. If we only have just one person booked in total for this tour, we will ask to reschedule, or you can pay for two tickets. We require two people in total for the tour to operate.
