Full-Day Private Wahiba Sands Desert and Wadi Bani Khalid Tour

Who knew desert dreams and culture deep-dives could come wrapped in one epic adventure? I traveled with my 72-year-old mother who walks slowly with a stick—and guess what? It was zero problem thanks to Jihad, our 5-star guide and real-life walking wonder! He speaks English like a BBC host and looks like he’s about to step onto a movie set. (Seriously, he’s real good-looking with well-built physique.) From the golden dunes to the soulful stories of Omani life, this tour wasn’t just a trip—it was a front-row seat to everything you hoped Oman would be. And the number of cultural questions I threw at Jihad? Let’s just say he passed every single one with flying colors. If you want more than a postcard memory—go with this tour. Go with Jihad. Really good tour. The Dhow factory is brilliant, followed by a trip to the Gazelle Conservation area. A lovely refreshing swim at the Wadi followed by a spectacular sunset from the Wahiba sand dunes. We also opted to stay overnight at the Arabian Oryx Hotel. Well worth the stop with a separate lodge overlooking the desert. Great BBQ dinner and breakfast the following morning.

We did this full day trip with Fawzi Suleiman from Star Tours. The experience with Fawzi was really great. He is great in conversations and quickly warms up to you. He provides details about Oman and also brief about the places where you will be visiting with him. The car was very good and it was a comfortable 8.5 hours with Fawzi. We did go to Wadi, but unfortunately it was insanely crowded due to the Eid holidays and hence we decided to do a quick round. Fawzi ensured that we didn't have to walk and he did a great negotiations with the Police members to allow us to drive close to the point of the spot. The desert safari after this was beautiful with a unique experience of feeding the goats and camel who were a real bunch of enthusiasts who craved for more. The sunset point where he took us was mesmerizing. By the end of the day we were tired but came back with a lot of memories. Thanks to Fawzi for making this day special.

our guide Mr.Fawzi is so funny and he gave us lot of interesting information about each spot. He is born to be a tour guide. He made our tour perfect! we are really satisfied with his service on March 30th.

We had an amazing tour of Wadi Bani Khalid and the desert with Mohammed Aljabri as our guide. He was so kind, friendly, and patient, making the whole trip even better. Mohammed made this trip unforgettable.

Jihad was a very polite young guy who showed us and drove us around. His English was excellent. The tour was excellent value compared to some similar ones we saw and I would recommend the company and Jihad to friends.

We were collected promptly at the time specified, we had regular contact with our tour guide NASR prior to collection so felt very comfortable knowing he would arrive. We had a wonderful day experiencing desert life and then off to the Wadi’s for a refreshing dip in the mountains First time on a camel was great fun, driving through the desert was exhilarating and we sampled local carrot tea accompanied with Oman homemade bread one with cheese and the other with egg, all in all it was a first class experience allowing us to share local food and Oman life
