9 Days Private Black History Tour in Ghana

We toured with family and friends. Our guide Elvis was an exceptional leader. I can’t say enough about his skillful, friendly guidance throughout the trip. Our driver Frances was truly amazing as well. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the experiences and adventures, especially the naming ceremony.

Awesome experience! We learned a lot! We had amazing tour guides. We stayed for nine days and went to a lot of African museums which told a lot of our history and ancestors regarding the slave trades.

Our host, Muhammed with Land Tours is very knowledgeable!!! He was awesome!!! He was patient with us and appears very respected in the community. If you like a mix of nature, education, and crafting, this is perfect for you.

The trip was incredible! It was so cool to learn about the history in a way that I never could have in school. The travel guide was super helpful too!

The traffic and roads in Ghana can be a bit much. Dixon maneuvered us safely to every destination with a smile. John was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, patient, respectful, professional, and protective of us. When we got to destinations and listened to tour guides there, we weren’t hearing the history for the first time because John had shared historical facts with us as we traveled from one place to another. This was my second trip to Ghana. I went knowing what I wanted to buy. At the top of my list was an angel. When I got out of the van at the Accra Marketplace, I was greeted by a gentleman saying he had angels for me to view. John had researched for me. The marketplace can be overwhelming. I so appreciated that I didn’t have to go searching. John met every request of the people traveling with me. John and Dixon were FANTASTIC!

The was a packed event tour which was educational but also enjoyable. Elvis the tour guide is very knowledgeable but made the trip exciting. Francis the driver is excellent and deserves a trophy for maneuvering Ghana road safely.

The tour of Accra & Kumasi was excellent!! We visited all the major tourist sites with a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide (Mr. Elvis Wallace). We ate well, made charitable contributions to a number of schools and supported the local artists with many many purchases.
