Monte Alban Guided Half Day Tour

Really enjoyed Monte Alban. Miguel was an excellent guide, his English was great and he had a wonderful way of sharing the information. Very professional and informative. Go at the 8am tour to beat crowds and heat.

The guide we had on the day was really great - very open and relaxed, and knowledgeable. And the walk was relatively easy - more winding, gentle slopes and less steep stairs (than other ruins).

The 8am tour is the only way to do Monte Alban! Temperatures were great and crowds were much smaller than at midday. Our guide shared a tremendous amount of information about the site and the Zapotec people. Having visited two other times, this was by far the best experience I've had and the most informative.

It’s a really insightful guided tour with lots of history to take in; I’d recommend longer than a half day if you really want a deep dive! The earlier the better because the sun can definitely beam upon you.
