A fantastic day. Amazing day, a bucket list day. Visiting amazing ruins with a Guide who truly feels Monte Alban, and shares insights I don’t think you get with just anyone. Then private visits with multigenerational silversmithing, textile, and black pottery families, welcoming us into their homes and shops, sharing the incredible artistry, history, patience, knowledge and attention to detail required to create stunning works of art. We seriously had moments of goosebumps and tears, being granted this glimpse into lives and history that most folks will never see. You really cannot put a price on such an experience. We toured with Jesus. He has full knowledge to give this tour, and is very accommodating. We had not settled on the sights to experience. He narrowed our interests with information to fulfill our interests. We learned so much of the area surrounding Oaxaca. By all means take this tour.

This is a wonderful tour with passionate and knowledgeable guides! Our guide today was absolutely fantastic. He was prompt, drove a very clean and comfortable car and was so helpful with my 83 year old parents. His patience was great. My husband and I had such a great experience with Oaxaca Conmigo Private Tours. We booked directly through their website and coordinated everything ahead of time with Antonio, who was super responsive and easy to work with. We also really appreciated that they support local vendors and give a portion of their proceeds back to low-income Oaxacan families. Our guide for the day, Jesus, was fantastic. The tour was fully customized and felt relaxed but really thoughtful. He started the day by taking us to a local bakery for coffee and fresh bread before heading to Hierve del Agua, then planned a lovely lunch stop before our mezcal visit. Jesus is fun, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable—and a great driver too (very comfortable car, which matters on a long day!). Also, Jesus somehow knew every dog we passed — and they all clearly adored him. One of the highlights was the mezcal tasting experience. Jesus had actually worked at the distillery before and led the tasting himself, sharing so much context and insight you just wouldn’t get otherwise. He also took us to Teotitlán del Valle to visit one of the top weaving families, where we got a personal tour and presentation and met the master weaver, Bulmaro Pérez Mendoza, before buying a couple rugs directly from him. (Pro tip: Bring an extra large suitcase if you can! We ended up buying a large suitcase in town in order to bring the gorgeous rugs back home.) The whole day felt personal, authentic, and really well cared for. If you’re looking for a private tour that’s thoughtful, flexible, and deeply connected to local culture, this is it.

We organised two days pf tours during our recent visit to Oaxca, Antonio was great at helping to arrange the trips according to our needs. Both guides, Felix & Armando, were great. Felix acted as translator when needed & was great company. Armando’s knowledge & insights about Monte Alban was first rate. The other great thing about the company is their commitment to the local communities & artisans. I really loved their ethical approach to their work. Highly recommend using Oaxaca Conmigo & I will do so again when I’m next in Oaxaca.

We had a great experience with the company, starting from the first interaction with Antonio when we sent a request for the tour options, and until the moment our brilliant guide Jesus left us after the excursion at our hotel. Everything was just perfect: attention to the details, flexibility on timing and the order of the sites to visit, the quality of the excursions with a lot of data and facts, individual treatment during mezcal testing, etc. I would like to highlight what stroke me most is the passion that these guys have for their region, culture and history. Plus they are very interesting people that share their personal stories and make you feel welcomed. We will definitely continue using this agency in our next visits. Highly recommended!

We had a really great day exploring with Felix. We had a pretty clear itinerary in mind, and Felix was completely accommodating and guided us through it very well.

Jesus was a great guide. Arrived on time, spoke Spanish, and English, was very accommodating of our family that included a nine month old baby. Was ready to help with the baby as well. We had our own itinerary which he followed and completed to Monte Alban,, two arts and craft sites and to see the tree at Thule He was very informative, Monte Alban would’ve made no sense without the explanations. He took us to an excellent place to eat and gave us good recommendations for the rest of our time in Oaxaca. Antonio, who organized the whole thing was good as well, very responsive to all my questions. I would use this company again with no hesitation.

Armando, our guide, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and accommodating to all we wanted to do at our own pace. I absolutely recommend him and this company, great experience.
