Super Day- Jeep Tour + Arade River Cruise

A great fun filled day. Ricardo the guide was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained all day. The views from the mountains were spectacular. The three course luch was tasty with unlimited wine. A great day and good value for money.

Our tour guide was fantastic. Fun and informative! We loved the bee keeper and distillery stop. Countryside was beautiful.

Our guide Louis was very friendly and informative. The boat trip was exhilarating and fun. We were a convoy of three jeeps. The ride bumpy at times took us zigzagging up the mountain. Stopping now and then to admire the view and learn about the flora and fauna. The lunch piripiri chicken was a bit basic but as it was the included in the price it was just about okay. The interaction between the drivers was great, it’s clear they’re all good friends. We enjoyed the firewater and honey stop. All in all a great day out.

Ricardo our guide/driver shared with us all he knew about the area accommodating us in every way possible. He made sure we all enjoyed smelling the leaves of the fruit. He was witty and made everybody feel comfortable with his safe driving. Thank you Ricardo for a lovely enjoyable day especially it being my birthday

what a nice complete tour with a jeep and a boat. You will be picked up by Jeep and taken to the boat to sail on the Arade River, along the quays of Portimão. Lots of explanations and interesting facts about different elements that can be seen, all told in a fun way by our guide Ricardo. Then we get into a jeep and drive off-road, what fun, to the highest mountain here in the Algarve. We come across oranges, lemons, figs, eucalyptus and all kinds of herbs along the road. We also come across mother Partridge with a lot of mini chicks. We eat puri piri and taste a small glass of Aguardente de Medronho (Medronho fire water), a liqueur made from the Arbutus Fruit Strawberry Tree. Then our very knowledgeable driver/guide also knows all about cork. It really is a very complete fun accessible tour.

A great day out with an excellent knowledgeable driver/guide. Only disappointment was the lunch, acceptable but not nearly as good as the lunch stop on other tours with this company

We booked a tour, may husband, sister and I, we were greeted by a very funny and friendly guide, Ricardo, who explained everything to us and let us know the plan for the day, introduced all guests to each other and was super considerate to us all which was really nice, we had a little hiccup where our boat stopped working but they got us another one and swapped us over no drama at all, he was very informative and worked very hard to give us all historical information and kept it flowing and interesting, we were then dropped back to Ferragudo for half hour, just enough time to relax and have a drink, then Ricardo was back to pick us up for the keep ride! That was fabulous! Some crazy off roading to get our hearts racing and some beautiful scenic stops to learn about the Monchique mountains, the plants and the culture, we stopped off at a cute little traditional honey and medronho making farm where we learned some more history and got to try some traditional Portuguese wares and buy some too, we then went to a traditional restaurant and had a superb traditional 3 course meal with wine and water, the whole thing far surpassed all of our expectations!! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an action packed full day of learning about truly important Portuguese history and facts!! This has to be the best tour operator yet I think!!
