We were cruise ship guests from the AIDA Stella on a shore excursion to Addo Elephant National Park with guide Alan. We really enjoyed the entire tour, from the pick-up and drop-off at the pier to the entire organization, and it was a testament to our professionalism. Alan was a very good guide who clearly wanted to show his guests some of South Africa's beauty and wildlife. He and we were both happy to have seen a lioness, and the fact that the guides shared their experiences with each other about animal sightings was great. The restaurant where we had lunch was good; I recommend the steak. If we go back to South Africa, we know where we'll book. It was great, and all the Best to everyone. Marion and Bernhard

We discovered Alan Tours through friends, and we absolutely have not regretted our decision to go on a guided tour in Addo National Park with Alan Tours. The communication beforehand was excellent, and the payment, although unusual for us, was 100% trustworthy. We had our accommodation in Colchester and were picked up directly by our guide, Anthony. Throughout the day, Anthony gave us interesting facts about the different animals and pointed out animals we would have otherwise missed. Of course, you find a few more animals with a guide than if you were traveling alone. You could really see that Anthony has a passion for his job and the wildlife and this is really contagious. We had a lot of fun and learned something along the way. All in all, it was an excellent day. Thank you!

Wow! What an amazing full day tour of Addo Elephant National Park with our ranger Graeme. This tour well exceeded our expectations at every level. Graeme met us early at our cruise ship dock and returned us to the dock at the time requested. Graeme was a wonderful guide who was excellent in sighting many different animals for us. He patiently explained interesting facts about the animals we observed as well as the plants and vegetation. We had the opportunity to observe approximately 200 elephants during our day in the park. We enjoyed watching many families of elephants at the water holes. Observing their mud baths and seeing a very young elephant chase away warthogs was especially entertaining. At one point in our tour, we experienced a total elephant "road block". It was quite a treat to see elephants up close for an extended period of time as they "napped" in the roadway. We also saw hartebeest, zebra, kudu, warthog, vervet monkey, cape buffalo, leopard tortoise, dung beetle, ostrich, and zebra agate snail. Outside the park we observed as giraffe. Overall quite an amazing tour. Graeme was the best -- very knowledgeable, considerate, and accommodating.

We were a family of 6 who did a tour with Alan tours. Graeme was an excellent guide who picked us up from our hotel in Port Elizabeth and took us into Addo national park to stay at main camp for two nights. Graeme is very knowledgeable and friendly. He worked tirelessly to make sure we got the most out of the experience. The facts Graeme was able to tell us about the animals was impressive and he knew exactly where to go to show us everything Addo had to offer. We saw lots of wild animals, as well as birds and the interesting fauna/flora in the area. I would highly recommend Alan tours as they are extremely professional. The organisation of breakfast, lunch and dinner was great.

We booked a full day tour with Alan Tours, from PE to Addo National Park. Anthony was our guide but we had Kevin as a bonus guide as well as lovely Bernice and Theresa from the office joining us. We had such a great time all day with the expert sightings by Anthony and Kevin. We learned a lot about the animals in the park and what makes each of them special, from the elephants to the little dung beetles. We even got to see a secretary bird which was one of our bucket list animals to see on our whole SA trip. Lunch was lovely at the restaurant at the park (kudu hotpot!) and it was great to have conversations with locals such as the Alan Tours team to learn about SA culture and daily life. Anthony took pictures throughout the day of the animals we saw and of us. It was nice to receive professional grade pictures of all the animals we saw. Thank you Alan Tours! I would highly recommend Alan Tours

Alan Tours had 3 or 4 vehicles for this excursion from our cruise ship. We were lucky enough to have the eponymous Alan as the driver/ guide in our open top 4x4 vehicle. We didn't see any elephants in the morning, lots of delightful dung beetles and a few warthogs. But after lunch, Wow! Lots of elephants, many up close and personal, young and old. We also saw two young lions wrestling just before we left, although we wouldn't have seen them very well without our binoculars. Tip, bring binos, even if not very good. I would recommend the open top vehicle over the enclosed van, unless other considerations dictate otherwise. If you are going back to Port Elizabeth, the motorway journey was a bit wild with wind and dust in the 4x4 though! Alan was a great guide.

My wife and I had a great time on our day safari to Addo. Pickup and drop off from/to our guest house in PE was flawless. Although animals were a bit elusive at the waterholes (due to rain the prior night?), we still managed to see a good number of animals, including elephants close up. Shout-out to our driver and guide Graeme, how was very knowledgeable and professional.

We had a great day visit to Addo and really enjoyed seeing all the animals in such a marvellous setting. Our guide, Mervyn made this a wonderful experience and ensured we viewed the numerous elephants as well as the many other animals and birds in the park. A day to remember and a lovely lunch to....

We visited Addo on a 2day trip which included an overnight stay in the park. We were with Alantours and our guide was Graeme, he picked us up from our hotel in PE and then took us on multi game drives through Addo. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us as much as he could. He was an absolute joy to be with and we learnt so much from him, he is certainly an asset to Alantours and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the company and Graeme
