From the fortification of the Knights Templar and headquarters of the Order of Christ, through to being a convent and residence of nobles, the main chapters of Portuguese history from the 12th to the 19th Century are represented in the architecture of the monumental complex of Tomar. Our tour takes us through the great moments of the history of Portugal, from the founding of the Kingdom, through to the Discoveries, the Golden Age of Brazil and the Liberalism of the 19th Century.

Leaving Tomar we'll visit the Sanctuary of Fátima where we reserve free time to visit the Shrine before returning Lisbon
