Interactive Living History in Dalkey Castle near Dublin City

Amazing tour with real actors. Very realistic depiction of life in Early Ireland. Prepare your questions for the actors because they will have questions about you… I will leave it at that. Lots of fun and laughs. Our family of four were really engaged.

Dalkey is a special place on the outskirts of Dublin and this guided tour was a thoroughly enjoyable 90 minutes. Set in an old castle (combined with a modern ‘extension’) and all beside an ancient graveyard, the tour was very informative and gave an accurate depiction of the historical evolution of the local area. A big shout out must go to Angela, the barber, the archer and the head cook… all of whom combined to provide a light hearted and educational experience. Thanks guys.

A charming and intimate tour of a small castle and its surrounds. Wonderful tour guide and 3 entertaining period characters (barber/surgeon, archer and cook) take you back in time, to the days gone by. Highly recommended for young and old. Some steep steps into the castle.

Excellent experience. The actors really played their roles and brought the history to life. The setting was perfect. Highly recommended!

I accompanied a school group of teenagers and we absolutely loved it. We travelled back to the Middle Ages and met some very funny characters: the barber/dentist, the archer and the chef. The guide was also wonderful and we learned not only about life hundreds of years ago but also about the medieval origin of some modern words.

This was a great little spot to get to from Dublin via the DART. If you have time after I recommend seeing the coast that they recommend seeing. Guide was fantastic.
