Half Day Athens Private Tailor-Made City Tour (Skip the line of Acropolis)

Our tour was terrific. Our guide Epi was so interesting and knowledgeable. The driver was very nice as well. There were 8 in our family group and everyone enjoyed it! Well worth the price.

Wonderful way to see Athens’ best places at your own pace. Paris & Vassilis are a great team, with insider knowledge and excellent tips for great photos.

Effie was a great guide. She was professional and very knowledgable. We covered all important historical sites. Salvatore was an excellent driver!!

Efi and Alex were both very knowledgeable and polite! It was a great tour. Very educational which we both liked a lot!

Overall a nice tour but wish it could have been more personalized. The tour booking said 48 hours before the tour would email us but they never did. The driver got lost finding us but was very nice. The guide did not meet us at our pick up point as indicated and instead joined us later on the trip and then left before we were dropped off. Would be better if the guide was with us the whole time as advertised. She sat in the front of the van with a microphone instead of being more personable sitting with us. The acropolis was great but a storm was approaching and we kept asking her to move quicker to avoid the storm. She said it would not rain and of course then it poured on us the everyone tried to leave at the same time causing a massive delay while it was raining. They never offered to take us to the acropolis museum even though it was advertised - we much more would have enjoyed that instead of driving around in wet clothes in the van for an hour after the acropolis. This review sounds more negative than it was. They were nice but overall for the money spent not worth it.

I only have one day in Athens, choosing the half day private tour was better than I expected. You have an amazing and very knowledgeable staff, Effie and Vasil was great. Thank you guys for making this a memorable bucket list worthy experience. 😘

Visilis and Efi were awesome as driver and guide. We got in and out of the places we were set to see and Efi provided soooo much information about the sights.

Mrs Effie and Alex were wonderful. Even though it started with a missed connection they were gracious and we quickly were back on track. We did everything we wanted and then some. Alex then took us on the drive to Cape Sounion, so beautiful and the Temple of Poseidon is not to be missed. Being able to skip the line at the Acropolis was a nice perk. I definitely recommend Mrs Effie and Alex. They make a great team and are so knowledgeable about Athens history, past and present. We had a thoroughly wonderful time!

We were picked up on time at our hotel to start our private tour by our driver. We then headed to the Acropolis to meet our tour guide. There really is no such thing as "skip the line of Acropolis" per our guide. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long (<10 min). So, don't get duped into purchasing a ticket for this. Parris was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. He spoke exceptionally good English and accommodated all the sites we wanted to see (We planned ahead of time what we wanted to see during our time. Parris and our driver then figured out the best route/time to see each of the sites. We highly recommend doing pre-planning to get the most of your private tour). He gave us Greek, historical, and Christian (if applicable) insights to each site we stopped at (8+ sites). It was helpful for us to see a broader perspective. Parris took his time and answered any question we had without being annoyed. He even showed us a favorable place to exchange money and a great Greek restaurant to eat dinner at that was non-touristy and authentic. This was a fantastic way to see all the sites we wanted without all the crowds or having to walk everywhere in the hot sun. It is at your pace and based on what you want to see!!! We learned about all the structures on the Acropolis instead of just wandering around wondering what we were looking at. This tour is pricey and only included tickets to the Acropolis. But it was soooo worth it!!! If you stop at other points of interest, you may have to pay to enter as it's not included in the tour. I highly recommend seeing the top tourist sites + those off the beaten path with a personal tour - specifically Parris!

The tour and staff were superb! They were well informed and personable. The skip the line for the Parthenon was the best idea. Our guide was educated and interesting. Tour of the city of Athens was thorough and informative. Highly recommend this tour.
