Can't beat the price for what you get. Of course, the traffic can get bad but that is to be expected. Great way to get around the city to see the major cites.

This is a must do to get acquainted with Athens! Very good commentary and I learned some good facts about Athens.

Ministoraki Square and round the coast and Marina. Disappointed that a few of our Athens sites were not visited due to city closure due to demonstration.

The bus was easy to hop on since they picked up passengers at the cruise terminal and have clear directions for transferring to the main route in Athens. That being said, the bus was okay but not the nicest hop-on-hop-off that we’ve taken. The content of the audio was okay, but we weren’t particularly impressed by the city itself. No fault of the tour provider, but the city is covered in graffiti and not much interesting to see other than the Acropolis/Parthenon. Perhaps if you have enough time to visit museums, it would be more worthwhile, but we were on a cruise with limited time. Ultimately, we wish we had just take a taxi to the Parthenon.

This is a good service & cheap, easy way to see what you want to whilst in Athens. Don't bother with the other ones. You can buy tickets for various lengths of period. We got one for 24 hours & it was perfect. You get earphones & can listen or not to the info. You also get a voucher to use in different countries. Great service.

After finishing my cruise, my flight was not till 11pm so I had a whole day in Athens. There are a number of open top buses you can take but having taken this company before I decided to choose them. I booked online whilst on the cruise which worked out slightly cheaper. From the cruise terminal you take the Piraeus line to the Acropolis and then change to the main sightseeing line. At the change over it was slightly chaotic and the staff could have done more to make things a bit more organised. Also on the first bus the upper deck had a cover which really helped in the sun but on later buses this was absent so bring a hat. The audio worked on all my journeys but the information was limited. I had Rick Steves app which was more useful and interesting. In the afternoon the frequency of the buses reduced dramatically I waited nearly 20 mins for a bus when two blue Sights of Athens bus came by in that time. I only had a one day ticket and it was easy to see the main sights in a day. If I had more time i would probably not have done it as the metro and buses worked well and were pretty extensive.
