Cape Sounion & Temple Of Poseidon Private Trip

I wish more people would come to Greece in November. The weather is sunny and crisp— and there are no crowds at the major attractions. I was so fortunate to take a private tour with Crispy to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon and saw a breathtaking sunset there with only a handful of other people. My photos are beyond awesome. My driver Giorgos timed my arrival perfectly from Athens—and the drive along the coast was complemented by great conversation. Crispy is clearly a first-rate company and this was a first-rate experience. My success with tour companies in European cities has been hit or miss recently but I would absolutely recommend Crispy. They made my last day in Athens memorable. Thanks Giorgos!

I cannot say enough about this tour! Our trip to Greece was our 12yo son’s birthday gift, and luckily, this particular tour happened to be on his birthday! He said that this was the best birthday he ever had! Not only George was telling us about everything that we saw on the way to Temple of Poseidon and back, he was telling us so much about Greek history and culture as well as many interesting facts about everything. George is a walking encyclopedia, but he manages to tell everything in such a way that even our 8 year old was in love with the tour! The scenery during the drive was unbelievably beautiful, the temple of Poseidon and the sunset were breathtaking, and the food at the restaurant that George recommended was fantastic and next to the water with the view of sunset (we ordered 7 dishes (they are huge) and everything was delicious even for our picky eaters). Also, George suggested an ice cream cafe, where the ice cream was delicious! Since I had quite few tours in my life, I can tell that a good tour guide makes a huge difference, and this was by far one of the best tours I ever had! I did request George when I was making a booking based on other reviews and even though George told us that all of their drivers are great, I strongly recommend you to request him as we had an amazing time! I’m not posting pictures as they don’t do the justice and you really have to experience it yourself. Thank you George and Crispy Local for making our son’s birthday really special and unforgettable and we will definitely take other tours with your company!

Wonderful experience! Prompt pickup and delivery to the Temple. The weather was dreadful but we decided to go anyway, our persistence was rewarded with a break in the clouds and a the most beautiful sunset. I will book Alex on my return visit. Book today!

If you are on the fence about booking this experience, do it! The destination is beautiful, of course. We were given plenty of time at sunset to take pictures—even our picky daughters were pleased with their Instaworthy shots. The real treasure was our guide, who educated us about the surrounding area on the way down the coast. He dropped us at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the water and the temple, then waited patiently for us to finish to take us up the hill. Then he indulged my daughters’ questions about the Greek government and education system on the way back to Athens. We could tell he loved his country, but gave us an unvarnished view of its challenges. A final stop for ice cream was the cap to a perfect night. One of the highlights of our trip!

The sunset at the Temple was beautiful. The tour was low paced and a perfect day after a long flight.

George, our driver, was very courteous and professional as we navigated the one and a half hour drive to Cape Sounion. Arriving just before sunset, we were able to capture some great photos of the Temple of Poseidon. He recommended a sea coast restaurant just down the street, so we watched the sunset while sipping local wine. He even treated us to some Greek desserts after our drive home.

We arrived just before sunset. The view was awesome. The driver was very nice and accomodating. When the sunset, he suggested we stop for dinner. His recommendation was a small waterfront taverna overlooking the bay and the temple. This tour was perfect!

Take a relaxing drive around the coast until arriving at Temple of Poseidon. Driver was very knowledgeable and safe. Great way to get out of the city and see some fantastic sites. Highly recommend the sunset tour. The restaurant they bring you to has the absolute best blaklava I have ever tasted.

Awesome sunset with the Temple of Poseidon in the view. Our guide Harry was great and even provided a jacket because my ride forgot hers at the hotel. Dinner was at a small waterfront restaurant and was reasonably priced and delicious. Wanted to avoid the big bus tour experience and this did not disappoint.
