Skip the Line: Benaki Museum of Greek Culture Entrance Ticket

We purchased tickets for for our last day in Athens on Monday June 5th, showed up and couldn’t find an open entrance. After walking around the building multiple times we decided to call the museum who told us it was closed to observe a national holiday. We were really upset because had we known, we would’ve selected tickets for a different day we were in Athens. To add insult to injury, this company REFUSED to give us a refund with zero reasoning! We feel scammed. Just know that they are willing to rip you off by selling you an invalid ticket.

The second floor was my favorite. I love folk costumes and icons and this was beyond beautiful. The museum was breathtaking especially the icon area. Just sit and take 10 minutes to fully enjoy the art. I loved that they placed chairs throughout to give you that intimate experience.

The museum was amazing!! There is a lot to see, so give yourself plenty of time. The staff working there was not helpful and very rude.

Small enough to see in an hour or two the Benaki museum gives a good overview of Greek archaeological finds, Greek history and culture. There is a coffee shop with great views and seating is available in most of the exhibit rooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture. The colors of the persons in that era were very interesting. I was at amazed at the beautiful fabrics. So much incredible history in this museum. The women’s clothing was especially intriguing.

Thanks to the family that had the vision to create it. Every time I visit Athens I must visit it in order to renovate me in the relaxing environment which is nicely late ou and plant. it also has one floor with Cyprus section which I adore.

Habitués à séjourner à Athènes, nous ne connaissions pas ce musée qui vaut vraiment le détour. Très intéressant sur le folklore grec. Agréable bar en terrasse au dernier étage. A ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !
