Sunshine Coast Hinterland Scenic Culinary Experience: Montville

Dave, our driver and guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The bus was comfortable and Dave was more than happy to stop along the way if anyone had a special interest in a particular area. Our lunch at Secrets By The Lake was superb. The cheese and chocolate tastings were delicious also. I would recommend it to anyone, whether in a group or by yourself.

We were picked up on time from our hotel (actually a little early). There were only 5 people on the tour which made it easy to chat and keep to the allocated time at the stops. Our driver Peter was a local and was informative and friendly with some interesting stories. The cheese factory gave us a great selection of cheeses -enjoyed sitting outside. Lunch at the secret lake restaurant was in a lovely setting on a patio beside a lake. The food was tasty and the serves were large. The two small towns that we had free time in were worth seeing. The chocolate shop had lovely samples to take home. The scenery and viewpoints along the way were excellent and would have been hard to travel to without a car. A most enjoyable day.

Timely pickup in a comfortable van. There were only three of us. Our driver Rob, was lovely and had lots of information to share, although it was a bit hard to hear.The day was a bit rainy so the views were somewhat hit and miss. We enjoyed the lovely rainforest walk at the first stop.Cheese tasting was quite nice, and the stop in Maleny gave us some free time after we selected our chocolates. Perhaps a bit too long in.Maleny as it was cold and there wasn't much to see. We then headed out to another lookout which was another cloud view, followed by a scenic drive down to Secrets on the Lake, which was magnificent with beautiful timber work, absolutely stunning. Big and tasty meals on the lake, huge portions left us full and satisfied. Off to Flame Hill for a lovely wine tasting, then a stop to explore Montville which was a stunning little village. FInally a stop at Mapleton Falls then off to our accommodation. It was a pleasant day out, if a little long, and Rob's enthusiasm added to the day,

The trip was excellent , the weather was perfect and the views were stunning. Our driver Rob was friendly, obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Made the day run seamlessly and everyone feel comfortable. Would highly recommend this tour company.
