Rio de Janeiro: Your 8-Hour Exclusive Local Immersion

This was my first time in Brazil and the experience was beyond amazing. My tour guide Victor ensured I was included since I was the only one that spoke English among the group. I would do it all over again.

Excellent full day tour of Rio’s must see sights namely Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Selaron Steps and much more. Our guide was Isaac and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable. We were the only English speakers in his group and he made sure we were fully included at all times. The lunch provided was also very good - great selection of buffet food. Overall a great tour would definitely recommend.

This is a must do tour. It includes the main things to see in Rio. I would do it first day, to see what you would like to do the other days. Rafael and Sergio were amazing at making sure everything was great!

Many of the points of interest were passed by and depending on your van seat you may or may not be able to see them. They group was all Portuguese speaking and the guides English was difficult to understand due to heavy accent. The guide also talked too much about US politics.

On time, all well organised, Kari (our tour guide) was very clear explaining details on each place and when coordinating with us how, what and when to meet each time. Always explaining in Portuguese and Spanish as promised

This is the first time we take a tour with this company, and I am completely satisfied. The tour was well organized. Our guide, Victor, was knowledgeable and attentive to our questions and needs. The driver (sorry that I forgot the name) made us feel safe all the time.

Best way to see the major landmarks in one day. Victor and Sergio were great in getting us to all the places and with plenty of time to enjoy ourselves.

Great tour for the price. Covers all the city highlights. Tour guide Victor was very knowledgeable and friendly. Pickup and drop off from hotel, made it much more convenient.

We got to all the stops at the perfect time, Cristo Redentor was practically empty compared to the pictures I’ve seen online, we never waited in line long, Sergio and junior were excellent guides! Highly recommended :)

Review coming from two Americans from Chicago… 1) we were the last to be picked up and we got the back seats, over the wheels. I’m 6ft 5in. No leg room, uncomfortable ride 95% of the trip. Roads were very bumpy and being right over the back wheels, you feel every bump. 2) our guide was very kind, and tried to keep us informed everywhere we went. We were the only two English speaking Americans on the tour. And not their fault, but we didn’t know any Portuguese or Spanish. 3) only about 20 of us, which was nice! 4) the souvenir shop we went to must have been a friend of a friend of the owner. We love spending money. Unfortunately nothing we found there. 5) lunch was jammed packed when we arrived around noon. Seems like all the other tour operators took there customers here. We got checked in, they had to open the top floor because no seats were left. The buffet line was long! We decided to pop out and buy our own lunch in the neighborhood. Overall, I recommend the tour despite some of the negatives. It hits all the top places. But if the tour operator messaged us the day before telling us we would be the only two English speakers, I would have cancelled. Don’t get me wrong, our tour guide did try his best, we appreciate that!
