Kathmandu's Soul: A Breathtaking 1-Day Cultural Immersion

Shishir was a fantastic guide and I would definately recommend his services. My original tour changed so Shshir suggested the Nargarkot Sunrise and trek which was amazing walking through all the villages along the way. What a beautiful location when you step outside the city centre. Definately Recommend.

A lovely day. Shishir was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and attentive. The hike is mostly an easy pace downhill through villages, a great opportunity to see rural life in Nepal. Shishir does offer a chance to ball out halfway if you get tired with a meeting point with the driver. I continued on to the full 8 mile hike and was glad I did. Fantastic views across the valley and mountains.

It certainly was the most beautiful 1 day experience in Kathmandu Nepal. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to view the Himalayas for sunrise. Shishir is an exceptional guide and shared his knowledge of the mountains and his country with us. After watching the sun rise over the most spectacular view we headed down for some breakfast before our trek. Shishir made us feel so relaxed and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our day. We stopped along the way for some tea and enjoyed watching the village people go about their day. We experienced many wonderful things along the way which we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to if we weren’t with shishir. We ended our trek at the Changu Narayan Temple which is breathtaking, and again Shishir shared his knowledge with us and made it even more enjoyable. After spending time in his company we now feel we could absolutely take on a longer trek with him, maybe even base camp. We will definitely call on him when we return to Nepal in the future.

Don't miss the Himalayas while in Kathmandu. The sunrise and the views of the valley from the hike were very beautiful. Shishir was a great guide taking us through parts we would not have known to go alone. Thanks for the tour!

We were picked up on time and took to the viewpoint for the sunrise. After this we had breakfast and started the hike, its mostly downhill so is suitable for elderly hikers or those with young children. Our guide Shisher was friendly, helpful, informative and fun to hang out with for the day. We passed through several small villages with friendly locals and dogs and finished the hike at a beautiful temple and dropped off at the hotel

The views were amazing! The guide was friendly and receptive, and it was clear that he knew the locals in the villages during our stroll.

Wonderful way to spend half a day. Loved the mix of beautiful landscapes plus culturally significant stops along the way. The guide and driver were very professional and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

This is the best tour in all of Kathmandu, and definitely the highlight of my trip. Shishir really is THE BEST tour guide in all of Nepal. He is number one for a reason ‼️ I fell in love with the country and will find him every time to go on more trips together. You will NOT BE disappointed!!

Great way to see a more authentic part of NEPAL Shishir communication from the outset was fantastic. His knowledge of the area is impeccable and the walking trek thru farmland is a great way to spend a 1/2 day if you have the time. The trek is easy and requires no real level of fitness which is a far cry from the EBC trek I finished 2 days earlier. Shishir really explains well the Hindi and Buddhist faiths and the meanings of each temples significance along the way. He was very punctual and ensured i was having the best experience - from Taking photos as I was solo to sharing historical shots because the weather didn’t accomodate. Shishir is friendly and polite to all around him and his English is good. Definitely I would recommend this short tour for anyone who wants to experience more of the quieter and authentic side of Nepal.
