Berlin Unveiled: Personalized Private 8-Hr Local Tour

Wonderful visit of Berlin with our guide Nataly! She was knowledgeable and organised a fantastic tour!

Our guide Natalia helped us see three different faces of Berlin (as she has been still discovering for herself and clearly falling in love with it) - beginning with the formal (governmental) district moving on to the history certainly immersing into the tragic events of the WWII, evidence (or better say - memory) of which one may easily find in abundance in the streets of Berlin (and on its buildings), and finally visiting Shpandau - an art district where the free spirit of Berlin wanders at large and makes itself seen through the impressive display of graffities (really nice ones), wall paintings, art shops with handcrafted art objects. I guess for some people a better focused tour could work better but for our (and our 13 years old daughter's) 1st visit / acquaintance with the city it was a perfect format. Even though it might be a standard route but it did not feel like following a crowd but instead looked more like a walk with an old friend who has happened to move to Berlin and is happy to show you around. Maybe the fact that Natalia is a native Russian also contributed to the atmosphere as we could easily communicate using common language. All in all it was a positive experience for us and I would gladly recommend this tour for a 1st time visitors to Berlin.

Nataly was absolutely wonderful! She brought a binder with pictures which really helped us learn what areas looked like before compared to now. We asked for her to tailor it for us—highlights in 3 hours. It included a lovely mixture of history, culture, architecture and we dropped us at a wonderful pub to experience true delicacies!

We had a private tour through Berlin. Neither of us had been to Berlin before and were anxious to learn about the city from a local. We were also interested specifically in the design, art and architecture. Our tour guide was a young gal who was a musician and introduced us to a part of Berlin that was very interesting us . Also loved the perspective of a 26 year old!

Nick was amazing. I love the survey that helps the guide customize your experience. Nick was easy to understand, made the history relevant to today. We were able to feel good about asking questions and share our personal views and experiences.

Immensely thoughtful & thorough. Loved all the in-depth details of Germany’s highly complex history. Andreas was incredibly engaging with his commentary while detailing a somewhat difficult history. He is incredibly knowledgeable & answered all our many questions. I would highly recommend this tour and especially Andreas. We appreciate all the additional information he shared for our remaining time in Berlin.

Luca was knowledgeable, adaptable and extremely helpful. He was easy to talk to and his English is impeccable. Great suggestions for food and awesome combination of the expected tourist spots and quirky Berlin spots.

Darren organized a walking tour of Berlin for us. We've organized similar tours in several European cities and this, by far, was the best. Despite the cold, Darren was able to give us so much information about Berlin, from origins, to city history and the politics and rise and fall of Berlin in WWII. He was extraordinarily informative and was able to weave history to present day and back politically and socially.. He took us to some haunting and historical milestone sites that weren't marked and was really able to portray what it might have been like living in Berlin at different points in history. We would highly recommend using Darren!
