Dresden Trabi Safari: Self-Drive Iconic City Adventure!

A very unique experience - driving an iconic GDR era car through Dresden while learning more about it's history and landmarks. Something completely different and a nice way to round off a visit to Dresden. Guide was very accommodating and managed the experience in a fun but professional manner.

This was a must tour in Dresden. My wife and I did the 2.15 hour tour and it went by very fast. I would suggest that each person get there own vehicle unless you want to keep switching. The shifting takes while to get used to, but it was a blast. The tour location in Berlin is in the city center. However, in Dresden, it is about 4 miles outside the city center.

I was the only customer that day, and so instead of guiding from a car in front, Marius, an engineering student at TU-Dresden, sat next to me and guided me on our tour of Dresden in a classic Trabi. Until you've actually driven a Trabant you'll never appreciate how good the Yugo was! Marius' English was very good and he was an excellent tour guide. This experience is unique and highly recommended!

It is a special experience to drive the Trabi in convoy through Dresden. Especially if you've never driven it before. The information about the city is almost incidental.

Das Trabi fahren ist ein einmaliges Gefühl, das man als wessi bzw ösi mal erleben sollte :)

This tour is a highlight! Peter, our guide, was able to get us excited about his hometown in a friendly way! He hit the right note between technical jargon and casual colloquial language. The organization and the little gift at the end were also top notch! We recommend this event without reservation!

Very nice experience. After a short briefing, we drove through Dresden in a Trabi. We were connected to a loudspeaker and received a lot of information during the journey. The group always stayed together in a convoy. The tour is highly recommended.

An experience, you learn a lot about the city and have fun. But it's not cheap. It's recommended and definitely worth the experience.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Micha begrüßt, der eine kurze Einweisung in den Ablauf und die Handschaltung der Trabi's gegeben hat. Dann ging es auch schon los. Micha gibt sehr genaue Anweisungen über Funk, so dass man keine Angst haben muss, dass man verloren geht. Man ist ja doch ein wenig beschäftigt, wenn man das erste Mal mit Handschaltung fährt. Die Route ist auch sehr schön. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten werden angefahren und es gibt einen kleinen Stopp für einen eventuellen Fahrerwechsel am Hygienemuseum. Die Tour hat richtig Spaß gemacht. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Es war eine wunderbare Erfahrung, es hat viel Spaß gemacht. Das grinsen im Gesicht ging gar nicht mehr weg. Vielen Dank an unseren coolen Guide Marius. Alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Beste Grüße aus Dresden
