Hidden Gems & Historic Secrets: Exclusive City Walk
Explore some of Charleston's enchanting alleyways and historic sites on this small group, 2-hour walking tour. With our small group tours, you are guaranteed a more intimate and up-close experience. Charleston's alleyways are fortunately located within the popular historic district which allows us to include some well known points of interest and go a little "off the beaten path” while exploring the history and beauty of Charleston's enchanting alleyways. Generally, we include between four to six different alleyways/passages as well as popular points of interest like Rainbow Row and of course, tons of history! These pedestrian passageways are often overlooked, but walking along these cobbled paths is an opportunity to appreciate Charleston's rich history and hidden, more intimate charms.

The guide is a 7th generation Charlestonian. He takes you to places you’d never be able to see from the street.

Bruce is well-known Charlestonian; his family arrived here 7 generations ago. He knew all of the historic stores, fact and figures, but in addition he shared wonderful stories about southern culture and his own upbringing here. It made the tour a unique and unforgettable experience. We loved hearing the stories about the architecture, the buildings and the people who lived in them, as well as seeing the private gardens and getting a personal perspective on life in this beautiful city. Mr. Bruce is one of a kind, and a truly exceptional guide.

We saw Charleston via the eyes of a child growing up here. Beautiful stories through which we learned about the lifestyle of people living here through the ages.

Very enjoyable and interesting. Mark was awesome! Not a difficult walk and the time flew by. Our guide (Mark) was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to.

This was such a cool way to see Charleston. Coach was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about the city. It was neat to walk through the city’s back alleyways and hear about the history, tales, homes and fun facts!

Walked the streets of historic Charleston with guide "Duggar". Combination of history and local architecture. Guide was very personable and relatable. He took a great deal of effort to get to know all tour members and answer all questions thoroughly. Extensive knowledge of current real estate values. Easy paced walking tour with great guide.
