Róisín was a great guide. The tour was informative, interesting, and moving. The tour mostly focused on 1972 to tell the history of the Troubles.

This was a wonderful experience. We learned so much about that time in Belfast's history and The Troubles. The guide was a young man living in Belfast during that time and had many first hand experiences to share. The tour takes a neutral position and just presents the facts. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of that time

Spectacularly good. Mylie is an extremely knowledgeable guide and she brought the tour alive with her informative, well-balanced and empathetic narration of the events of recent history. To hold the attention of an audience for two and a half hours without faltering or relying on notes is no mean feat. This tour is at times heart-rending and distressing but is a must for anyone who is interested in the Troubles. 100% recommended.

This tour was everything we hoped it would be and so much more! Mylie was incredibly knowledgeable and brilliant at explaining the complex history of Ireland and the Troubles. It felt very immersive to go to the locations of some of the bombings and events that took place, and helped to fully appreciate what happened. Thanks so much again and we want to read your thesis!

Amazing insight from Roisin who was really able to explain what it was really like in the height of the unrest as she was there. So glad we booked this tour to contextualise our visit to Belfast.

James was brilliant, I was there with my grown up children and we all found him very personable and so knowledgeable. We found out so much about the history of Belfast and would totally recommend to anyone visiting Belfast 😊

It was a cold, wet Sunday morning yet James’ knowledge, vivid story-telling and engaging manner meant the 2.5 hours sped past. James told the history (and the present) of the Troubles in an impressively neutral way, without making it at all impersonal or dry - quite the reverse. I strongly recommend taking this tour - it’s extremely interesting, moving, and brings this difficult, highly relevant time in Belfast’s history to its audience in a remarkable way, not shying away from the horror and trauma yet not sensationalising it. I shan’t forget it.

Miley was my tour guide, she was very welcoming and made a point of chatting to everyone before the tour started. I thought that 2.5 hours was going to be a bit long, but it flew by with all of Miley's brilliant guidance. She was very eloquent and clear in explaining sensitive events, she rolled off dates and names with ease and filled the tour with anecdotes from Belfast natives. It was like attending a lecture, Miley is fantastic! Really enjoyed the tour, I learnt loads! Highly recommemd!

This was probably the best walking tour I have ever been on. Our guide Mylie had a gift for summarising complex political history in a way throws light on the current situation. If you want to understand ‘the troubles’ this tour will go a long way towards achieving that aim

- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- A moderate amount of walking is involved (1.5 miles)
- Minimum age is 12 years
- The tour will take place regardless of the weather. Please check the forecast and dress accordingly
- A waterproof jacket is recommended just in case of showers, as is warm clothing during the winter months
- Belfast City Center is completely flat, so no hills or steps are involved. However, comfortable footwear is advised
