This is a great tour. We the wonderful train trip up-to Kuranda, we then wondered through the funky rainforest village of Kuranda and enjoy the heritage markets. Then travelled by shuttle bus to the Australian Rainforestation activities Have a BBQ Lunch. A selection of meats and pasta, salads, cheeses and fruits. Then we watch the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers, performing in the rainforest amphitheatre, then join the Dreamtime Walk and tried to learn how to throw a boomerang and spear and watch didgeridoo playing. Next was the Army Duck Rainforest Tour through the Tropical Fruit Orchard, traveling both on land and water with our guide explaining the different species of flora and fauna. After we walked through the Koala Wildlife Park. Seeing the big crocodile being feed, checked out the snakes, dingoes, a cassowary, kangaroos and wallabies. We the travelled back to Cairns on the Skyrail. This soared over the ancient rainforest canopy in a gondola. Hop off at Barron Gorge station and checked out the Barron Falls from the other side from the train trip. We changed over at Red Peak station to travel our final leg down to the Cable-car station.

The highlights of the day were the train ride up (and sights of two different magnificent waterfalls [Barrons taking the cake])) and the skyrail back. Wasn’t too impressed with the duck vehicle into and narrative of the rainforest, or the small zoo in Kuranda. The aborigines (dance and boomerang and spear throwing protocol) was interesting.

It was alright! I expected more than they’ve offered! I thought we would’ve taken a walk through the Rainforest, but instead we took a Army Duck!

Booked on line through Kuranda railway train up and sky rail back leaving from Freshwater station 8.55am, $232 for two seniors . Very well organised, helpful staff and plenty of room on train. Views are on the right going up, but good views all round. Lots to see around town, shops and many cafes. No queuing to return at 1.30pm by sky rail. Two beautiful stops on return, where you can walk around boardwalks. Would recommend the train up and sky rail down for amazing views.

The train ride was a very beautiful and relaxing way to make our way into Kuranda. Not much time was needed in the town itself other than to stop for some souvenirs and walk through the butterfly sanctuary as the next stop was lunch, a photo with a koala (that you actually get to hold), stroll through a wildlife park with all of the animals you’d want to see in Australia followed by a boomerang throwing experience, show and relaxing SkyRail back to bus pickup - lots of activities for one day without feeling rushed

The gondola ride was great. Would have liked to have more walking and learning to do on the way. Kuranda was good but there are options in the village that are very similar to part of this tour. Was not a huge fan of being isolated at a destination and not really being able to do things at our leisure. Train ride was LONG. May have booked differently if exact times were understood.

Great way to see Kuranda and rainforest. Railway up and skyrail back made for fantastic photos. Free time in Kuranda and indigenous activities and army duck adventure into rainforest forest. Guide Victor was very knowledgeable Never felt rushed or timetable. A great day out.

Great tour, friendly and knowledgeable staff, everything was good except BBQ lunch. Big let down, meat chewy and tough. Recommended but take your own picnic.
