Naples: Pompeii & Amalfi Coast - Ultimate Ancient & Coastal Escape

We had an amazing day exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii! Everything was perfectly organized — from the comfortable transport to the smooth timing of each stop. Our guide was absolutely fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that brought the history and culture to life. It was one of the best tours we’ve ever taken, and I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

It was a lovely experience I had at Amalfi Coast & Pompeii. Joining a small group, Guisi is our tour guide together with our driver Tommaso they both gave us a comprehensive information about Naples & Amalfi Coast. While we travel along the coast of Amalfi, Tommaso played an Italian songs that brought a good vibes & enthusiasm to all of us. Guisi, brought us to a limoncello & Italian sweets for free tasting. She even accompanied us to one of the top view point with an amazing views. Antonio, is our tour guide in Pompeii, he is very knowledgeable about the Pompeii archeological history & gave us some info about the secret activities happening during the medieval era. I definitely recommend you to do this day tour if you have a time constraint in Naples & yet you want to maximize your time. You will surely will not regret it but rather will leave a memories of a life time.

What a great tour! We boarded a small bus, and our skilled driver, Antonio, expertly navigated the winding, narrow roads to Amalfi — definitely not for the faint of heart! Amalfi itself was spectacular. We had the option to take a 30-minute boat tour for €15 (cash), which was absolutely worth it — a perfect way to see the coastline from the water. Even with the boat tour, we still had nearly two hours to explore Amalfi at our own pace. Afterwards, we made our way to Pompeii which was also impressive. Our tour guide, Andrea, was fantastic — knowledgeable, funny, and full of personality. I also appreciated that Andrea reached out the night before to introduce himself and confirm meeting point. A small tip: if you’re prone to motion sickness, be sure to bring some medication. Those roads are beautiful, but they’re definitely twisty!

My tour guide Giusi was absolutely amazing. She stayed calm, helped find me, and kept me close at the port to guide me to the van, as there were 3 cruise ships of people disembarking and it was chaos with tour operators and taxi drivers trying to find their clients and passengers! Guisi showed us all the best places to eat, drink, have gelato, and visit, while we were on the Amalfi Coast. She brought our small group of 7 to try some chocolates and tasting of melon and lemon liqueur. She joined me for a hike to the top of the hill so we could get wonderful photos and see a lovely cemetery. Her knowledge about the area was wonderful. She was patient, kind and funny.!! I would recommend requesting her as a tour guide. Anyone that has looked out the window while driving can tell that is very difficult to drive in Italy and especially the Amalfi Coast due to the narrow, winding road. Our driver Tommaso, was an excellent driver and was calm and instilled confidence in the whole van. He played authentic music for us and told us stories and history of the region as well. He had a lovely manner about him. He was not only knowledgeable, he was super friendly!! The last part of the tour was a visit to Pompeii Ruins. I was surprised to learn that we had a semi-private tour with an archaeologist named Antonio. Wow, he knew his stuff!! He was very professional and very passionate about the Ruins and deeply cared about the site. He also has Instagram called pompeii_vibes! He is the bomb if do you want a history lesson and feel like you are there! I can't recommend this tour enough to future clients. This is a real review from a girl traveling solo from 🇨🇦 🍁

Honestly I was not feeling that well as I did not sleep at all but the overall experience was just made absolutely wonderful by our tour guides. I could not have asked for a better experience they went above and beyond to make our tour the absolute most enjoyable that it could be. Tommaso Antonio and especially Giusi!! Very sweet kind and informative! If there's any way you can ask for them I highly recommend asking specifically for them!

Ilaria and gennero were amazing! The driver maneuvered all around the twists and turns like a formula 1 driver. Amalfi is beautiful and we had a great time exploring Pompeii!

Our guide was top. Polite, enthousiastic, service minded, invited us also to the boat trip which was nearly the best part of the day. We also got lots of information about the area while traveling in the bus between Naples, Amalfi and Pompeii. She was very helpful and had personal attention for everyone.

Fran was amazing!! Got us back in time for our ship and we had an amazing time!! Will do this again if we come back! We got to see so much within a day!
