Nori was a great guide in Kyoto. It was a long day with lots of walking, but there was always enough time for short breaks, a nice lunch, or a cup of coffee between the different sights. What we learned from him was very useful for the rest of our trip through Japan. He paid attention to details and explained everything in an interesting and engaging way — never boring. We moved partly on foot and partly by taxi, depending on the distance. Almost at the last moment, we asked to finish the tour at a different location, as we wanted to visit the Monkey Mountain. Nori kindly adjusted the plan and made sure we arrived at the entrance right on time. Thanks to his flexibility and kindness, the day ended in the best possible way.

Akira was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, funny, and full of great insights. We explored Fushimi Inari Shrine and Arashiyama, including a taxi ride to the peaceful Giouji Temple followed by a scenic walk down to Tenryu-ji Zen Temple and the Bamboo Forest. Akira made the day smooth, engaging, and memorable. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Our tour guide was wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a tour of the town before taking a day or two to explore on their own. It was very helpful to get a good bearing of the city and its amazing history.

Shu was so gentle, kind, respectful and even took care of us in the rain and throughout this tour. We had an extensive itinerary and he made sure we got to see it all even in the inclement weather and we ran overtime due to the rain. We saw Fushimi Inari, Kiyiomizudera, Niko Castle, the Golden Pavilion and Nishiki Market. In order to have more time at Kiyomizudera and walking the streets of Ninenzaka, and Sannenzaka we would have omitted Niko Castle since we didn’t see the gardens, but this is no fault this was not the guides fault at all. Shu’s English is good to above average. Knowledgeable of his craft and professional. He was willing to allow us to take plenty of pictures and answer our questions. Would recommend him without any reservations.

Our guide spoke fantastic English, very knowledgeable and made each venue we visited more rewarding than if we experienced on our own. Thank you!

Excellent tour with Michi! He was so informative and taught us many things about Japanese history, culture, and the people. He was fluent in English and easy to understand. We did the Kinkaakuji/Ryoanji/Arashiyama itinerary. The first stop was my favorite. Michi took very good care of me and my two teenage children. I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide in particular.

Noriko was a great guide. She had good knowledge of the sights she guided us to and was able to answer our questions as we went. She has good English skills even though we had to speak clarification because of her accent. We covered a lot of ground in Kyoto with Norika and although we were all reasonable fit 70 year old we did struggle to keep up with her at times. The main thing is we did not lose her. Overall Norika was good to be with.

Our guide was on time, knowledgeable, and we experienced way more at each venue because of what he shared. His English is perfect. Thanks

Family of four adults: we had a great day with Noriko, she's a awesome guide. She took us to more well known tourist destinations within Kyoto (as requested by us), but also brought us to less visited temples and was fluent in the history of these places. Communication in English was good, and Noriko was very kind and patient. I recommend highly this tour, and the great guide.

Our guide Kazuo provided us with a great customized tour of Kyoto. We were able to see the bamboo forest, Kinkakuji Temple, Gion District & Fushimi Inari Shrine. He was very informative & even brought us to a great Tempura restaurant for lunch.
