Breathtaking El Yunque: Exclusive Small-Group Rainforest Tour

I was picked up at my hotel, which was so convenient. On the way to El Yunque, we stopped at a little fruit stand/souvenir shop for a drink and one last restroom break. Then we were off to the rainforest. Our guide, Andres, was amazing. He gave us a lot of history, lore, and botanical knowledge which gave a depth that most tours don't have. He was incredibly kind, relaxed, and helpful. He gave us choices so we would all be at our comfort level, then helped us achieve success with our choices! The rainforest itself was so beautiful and by the end of the day I felt inspired, confident and like I had pushed myself enough out of my comfort zone that I had a bit of happy pride. A lot of that was due to Andres and the care he took with all of us. At the end, I felt like I had a friend, not just someone who had taken us on an expedition. 100% recommend!!

We had a wonderful experience! El Yunque is stunning, the water was so clear and pristine, while luquillo was a gorgeous beach with tropical waters. The kiosks were the traditional cuisine we had been looking for. Andres was an amazing tour guide. Fun, flexible, and so knowledgeable!

Our family has done many excursions at many different places, and this one topped them all! We had Mitchell for our tour guide, and he was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. He was very personable, and made all of us so comfortable with everything in every way possible throughout the day. Mitchell was extremely knowledgeable about everything; shared many facts about Puerto Rican history and the culture, and taught us so much about the traditions of the El Yunque rain forest. When we began our hike into the rainforest he made every second exciting. We had a family of 6 ranging from 9 to 57 years old. The paths we took and the rock climbing we did would be considered strenuous by most people. However, Mitchell read us perfectly and took us ways that some of us would have never attempted to take. But he assessed our abilities at every turn and took us all the entire way. He was so encouraging and boosted our confidence levels in every way possible. I personally was not planning on going down the natural rock water slide, but I did it because of Mitchell’s encouragement. And I’ll forever cherish that experience. My family cliff jumped and rope swung as well, all while Mitchell hyped us up. It was exhilarating, and we all had cheesy smiles the whole time. He made sure our belongings were safe while we had our fun, and took pictures and videos of all us the entire time. He took us to the Laquillo Beach kiosks afterwards and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our vacation. I don’t think we could have gotten a better tour guide than Mitchell. If you book this tour you definitely need to request him. This experience and the memories will be forever remembered and cherished by our family. Thank you Mitchell for such an awesome day!!

Had an amazing time with Andrea on our tour! She gave us such an amazing overview of El Yunque and made us feel so safe throughout the excursion. We hiked, slid down a natural waterfall, cliff dived and participated in a rope swing. She was with us every step of the way and gave us tips to safely navigate the rainforest. She was also an excellent photographer and captured so many memories for us. Following our rainforest adventure, we stopped at the famous kiosks of Luquillo Beach for lunch. Andrea recommended a specific kiosk (#38) and an array of dishes that were incredible. I’d definitely book this awesome tour!

Andres was very prompt and communicative throughout the whole process. The actual trip was so cool. Between the water slide rope swing and his knowledge how it all formed , it was absolutely worth it to do a smaller group. Adres also took us afterward to a nice beach and had many recommendations where to eat etc. highly recommend this tour. Trust me

100% worth it!!! Carlos was the best guide we have ever had. He provided a plethora of knowledge about how important the rain forest is to the eco system in Puerto Rico. Carlos also took time to teach the group about the various vegetation and wildlife in the area. Carlos always put safety first and made sure that everyone in the group was comfortable and had plenty of time to explore the area. I highly recommend asking for Carlos to be your guide and you will not be disappointed with your adventure.
