Baja's Ultimate Journey: Balandra, La Paz & Todos Santos

This was a great way to see La Paz and Todos Santos for the first time. Our tour guide Bernardo was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Some of the stops were a little short on time but we still were able to see the main attractions. If you like the beach Balandra does not disappoint. We highly recommend 😀

Although a very long day, with Kafaya as my tour guide, he made the trip fun & interesting. He translates into English and helped to make our mixed language and broad age group feel very cohesive. I felt very welcome as an English-speaking solo female traveler. I am experienced in solo international travel, but I would also feel safe having my 20-year-old daughter go on this tour on her own with Kafaya as her tour leader. The water is so crystal clear here, I was blown away. I could see fish, crabs and rocks clearly without goggles in the shallower areas of Bandaras. I heard the warning about the rays in advance and how sliding your feet in the sand will scare them away before you get jabbed, but I missed the warning about the jelly fish. Nothing too bad, but I felt a little sting for a few hours (bee stings have hurt worse), but I never actually saw the jelly fish that got me. It may be wise to bring something with you in the event that happens as I saw some parents panicking on the beach when their little one got stung and they didn’t know what to do to help her. The second beach we visited was fabulous too. I actually spent time swimming on the left side of the pier, since it was less crowded than the right side. The beach has free showers and changing rooms as well. In La Paz, after a quick mission stop for photos, we got to see how pearls are made in a fine jewelry store on our next stop. We the. got to take photos in the area, grab snacks or shop for a little bit before heading to lunch. The restaurant we went to for lunch has fantastic ceviche, but wow! it was a LOT of ceviche, I am a healthy eater and I could not manage to finish it all. Another traveler let me sample his baked fish and vegetable dish and it was really good too as was the hibiscus tea. We were also grateful for the massive fan they have set up to keep the restaurant cool for us. We then made our last stop in Todos Santos where we got to see the Hotel California and another mission. In all three locations I was able to find the big colorful letters and take photos. Plenty of opportunities to buy souvenirs on this trip too. Kafaya was kind enough to pull over on the drive home so we could take photos of the stunning sunset over the water. I had such a fantastic time and would recommend this trip to friends and family. I would even do it again!

This trip was a highlight day of my wife and I’s honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas. We booked a Balandra/La Paz tour through Cabo Tours & Fun (Tony Sanchez) and it could not have delivered better. Kafaya was integral to our trip and did everything possible to make us feel safe, welcome, excited and interested in the trip. We came away from this trip with a feeling like we got a true day like locals and that we really got to experience La Baja correctly. Thank you Kafaya! 🤘🏼🤙🏼

They didn't pick us up at the time, they said. Could find our place. We finally found us. Went to pick others up at the other end of town. Then they realized their was a family they were to pick up at our sam location. So we had to turn around and go back to our condo. We had 4:50am pick-up times. We had 11 people, and then they tried to add 2 more. It's not acceptable. The family had bad colds and sneezing and blowing noses. I'm not sure what the tour company could have done about that. After we finally got going, everything went pretty smoothly. Not sure I would do this tour again. It was a long long day. 12 hours.

We visited iconic places at a fair price but unfortunately is a short time in each. Aside of that is a very nice experience

We had an Amazing time in La Paz , at balandra and we loved the magical town of Todos Santos where THE hotel california is located …. Highly recomended from the food , the amazing scenery and of course the guides they were also very on point with the info about these awesome places,…. Thank you and i will come back for sure

This trip is way too long!! Pros : -balandra bay (the scenery and views) -La Paz (so beautiful) Cons: -no warning of jellyfish or stingrays at Balandra bay by tour company -No chair rentals at balandra bay -Tour guide was grumpy and unhappy -Bad food at the lunch spot and breakfast stop -not enough time at todos santos -way too much driving for a 40 min walk around todos santos - was at balandra bay for 3 hours!!! Way too long! -take money to use restrooms which will take most of your free time All in all your better of renting a car and doing this trip on your own.

Balandra beach was very beautiful place to relax. Clear water but be careful with jelly fish and stingrays.

the trip was a bit speedy, keeping on mind that we was visiting tree beautiful destinations on a day. Playa Balandra, La Paz, And Todos Santos. what make it most enjoyably, was our guide driver David. He was very helpful, know legible of the places we visit and his driving skills were great, based on security and responsibility. Thank You Very Much Hopefully I can do it again.

Balandra Beach was a natural wonder. Daniel was energetic and informative. Very good trip overall. Maybe tighten up the behind the scenes planning as we are almost left behind at pick up in the morning as our rez was not relayed to tour despite us receiving confirmation the night before. Operator came back for us when we called. Great day after a worrisome start.
