Kuni Arakawa was a fabulous guide. We're so glad the guide agency got him for us. We toured several temples in Kyoto. We'd chosen one less-crowded temple -- Nanzenji, and Kuni suggested nearby Tenjuan which was beautiful and even less crowded. He helped us navigate the public transportation system--that was a good way to get familiar with the subways and busses. And he was full of useful and interesting information. We had a late lunch at a great, uncrowded okonomiyaki restaurant that we'd never have found without Kuni. He also recommended other restaurants and activities which we tried in subsequent days. All very good.

Michi reached out right away with options for our 6-hour tour, with descriptions of sites and maps. He was on time on the day of the tour, and throughout the day, he was knowledgeable, kind, and funny. He taught us so much about the sites.

Michi san took us through a very thorough tour of Kyto. He met us early in the morning at our hotel and we took an extensive tour of the local highlights. He is professional, very well informed, and was very accommodating to our requests. He even helped arrange a very delicious lunch at the end of our tour. Thank you, Michi san.

We really loved this experience and we recommend this highly to other people, especially families. We went as a family with our two adult sons. Yoshii was wonderful. He took the time to explain the culture and history to us, which was very meaningful to start our trip. We took his lead and let him recommend the sites and he curated a wonderful itinerary for us. Even though places are really busy here Yoshii knows how to navigate through the crowds to get you directly to what you need to see. He will explain along the way all the history and meaning of everything. He’s an excellent photographer as well so don’t be shy to let him take pictures with your device. He knows the best way to capture the site. He provided so much additional information, including helping us to navigate and find our way to points of interest to our family. I would easily book a second tour to see more with him as he is an excellent tour guide. He’s very easy-going and flexible. Very knowledgable and kind. We really appreciated our time with him. He also has a fond appreciation of nature, the culture and history and was able to share that with us. Our family has a very strong appreciation of nature and all the richness of this culture and it’s history, it was a real gift to be able to learn and be guided with Yoshii. We had great fun exploring Kyoto with Masaki San. Masaki San helped us plan the itinerary and customized it for us. We had a good mix of temples and sights and shopping. Kyoto has amazing history and sights and temples. We will definitely be back to spend more time.

Kazu-san is very knowledgeable and kind. He can explain Japanese history in great detail. He is also very friendly. We enjoyed our day in Kyoto with him very much.

Kazuo was a superb guide in every way. A few weeks prior to our tour day he recommended a rough itinerary for our review and we communicated via WhatsApp and agreed on the itinerary. The itinerary included the Imperial Palace, a unique and wonderful sushi lunch experience, the Kinkajuji Templeand the incredible Fushimi Inari Shrine. Kazuo, provided historical background and religious meaning along with the history of the Shogun era and the more contemporary Emperors’ roles and governing traditions. We took subways and a few bus rides which really enabled us to learn more about the Kyoto of today and the Japanese culture. Kazuo guided us through the transportation system and made travel easy. We had Suica IC cards which you can download and load as you will and I strongly recommend them.
